KONG Original Extreme
Used by police, drug enforcement teams, and the military for training working dogs, this super-tough toy stands up to jaws of steel. Even if your dog's job rarely takes him off the couch, the Kong Extreme's goofy, unpredictable bounce makes for hours of chasing and fetching fun--just the thing for animals whose life in the wild consists of tracking, killing, chewing, and then doing the same thing all over again. When you're away, simply stuff the hollow interior with treats or gooey peanut butter, and extracting the contents becomes a "hunt" to keep any pooch happy and busy all workday long. Chewing Kongs helps promote strong jaws, clean teeth, and general oral health. Even aggressive "power chewers" will find it hard to bite through carbon-formula Ultra Flex, and dogs with separation anxiety or problem behaviors like barking and digging will especially benefit from the mental and physical stimulation.

Our large Bouvier chewed the top piece off the red kong of this size in about 15 minutes. For some reason she prefers the smaller sized chew toys, so we thought we'd try the extreme for her. We've had this one for a few weeks, and so far she hasn't come anywhere near chewing through this one.

Our dog is a toy destroyer: it seems like no toy lasts more than a few hours/days. However, the Kong Extreme has been fantastic. Yes, eventually he does rip the top off (though the bottom stays in good shape if you catch it in time and cut off the damaged part); but overall, this is a fantastic toy. One suggestion: get a size above what you think you need for your dog if he's a heavy chewer. Our dog destroyed the first one we got him in a couple hours, but we sized the second one up and it lasted weeks.

Our dog loves to chew and these last far longer than any of the other types of "extreme" chewy toys we've tried. Youc an put a treat in them as well to make it an interactive toy, our beagle loves this challenge when we jam a cookie into it and he has to work on it to dislodge it.

As an owner of extra-large dogs with powerful jaws, I recommend this toy as one that is durable. Even my St. Bernard has not been able to chew through this one! It is great with treats inside to keep the dogs busy or as a throw toy.

The Kong is great. Other toys get chewed up and swallowed. This Kong is long lasting and good for when I go out for a few hours and put treats inside. The dogs love them. Would recommend them to family and friends.

My dog loves this toy! I love the fact that when we have company over and my dog is getting in everyone's face I can just give her this with some peanut butter in it and it keeps her busy for a long time... even longer if you pre-fill it and have it in the freezer first for a few hours!

This kong is tough. My Yorkie hasn't chewed it, Yet! I wish they would make a smaller version of the same one. 4 out of 5

I have a highly energetic, Husky pup. He absolutely loves this toy. Because of it's beehive design, the puppy can throw it around and the toy will keep spinning in circles for a while. The hole that allows storage of treats or my preference, peanut butter, is great. Keeps him entertained for a long time!

This Kong is the most durable for puppies who are teething and like to bite. Better the kong than your hand, works well
