Lundberg Long Grain Brown Rice

This California-grown brown rice is famous for its full flavor and nutrition. It is a natural whole grain rice with nothing but the husk removed and it yields a drier, fluffy product. This rice is versatile and is great in stuffing, pilafs, casseroles, salads, and stir fry.

Ingredients: Eco-Farmed long grain brown rice.

Cooking Instructions:

1 cup Lundberg Long Grain Brown rice
1¾ cups water or broth
1 tbsp. butter (optional)
salt to taste

Combine rice, water, and butter (optional) in a pot and bring to a boil. Cover with a tight-fitting lid, reduce heat to low-simmer, and cook for 40 minutes. Remove from heat (with lid on!) and steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork.

If rice is crunchy at the end of cooking time, it may be necessary to add 1-2 Tbsp. liquid and cook longer.

You really can't go wrong with any of the Lundberg rice. This one is excellent.

Delicious rice! We love whole grain brown rice. When this was cooking it smelled like rice pudding. We had it with sweet and sour meatballs. Yum!

I have to confess never like brown rice, but now I add a bit to chicken-rice soup with loads of veggies taste great.
