MapleLife Calcium Carbonate + Vitamin D contains optimal amounts of both calcium and vitamin D to maintain normal calcium and phosphorus levels in the blood, maintain a healthy immune system, and regulate cell growth and differentiation. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that aids in the absorption of calcium. It exists in several forms, each with a different level of activity.

Cholecalciferol, the source used in this product, is the most active form of vitamin D. A vitamin D deficiency can lead to thin, brittle bones, and a severe deficiency can cause rickets, a debilitating skeletal disease. Calcium is essential for the development and maintenance of strong bones and teeth, as well as to prevent fractures due to osteoporosis.
