Nature Clean All Natural Liquid Soap

Do you choose your liquid soap based on scent or which design matches your bathroom décor? Well, you may be getting a lot more than you bargained for.

76% of liquid soaps and 30% of bar soaps now contain anti-bacterials. Many people pick up anti-bacterial soaps without even realizing it. Others choose anti-bacterial soaps and cleaners because advertising implies that using them will help protect your family against colds and flus. But colds and flus are viruses, and anti-bacterials have no effect on them

A commonly used anti-bacterial chemical is triclosan, a suspected immunotoxin and a suspected skin or sense organ toxin. Triclosan creates a carcinogen called dioxin, as a by-product. A Swedish study found high levels of this bactericide in human breast milk.

Not all bacteria make people sick. Some are beneficial. Anti-bacterial soaps and cleaners kill both beneficial and harmful bacteria. By doing this, they actually leave us more vulnerable to the harmful ones we encounter. Children especially need exposure to some germs, to develop their immune systems.

Scientists are concerned that the widespread use of anti-bacterials contributes to the development of resistant bacteria, ie bacterial that will only be killed by different or stronger doses of chemicals. So when we need to kill harmful bacteria, like strep, staph and e-coli, it will be more difficult.

Our Liquid Soap is a 100% vegetable based, and created without perfumes, dyes, harsh preserving agents or animal tallow.

Safe enough even for those consumers with environmental sensitivities.

Ingredients: WATER, POTASSIUM OLEATE (NATURAL COCONUT CLEANSER), GLYCERIN (VEGETABLE SOURCE), SODIUM CHLORIDE (SALT) AND LITSEA CUBEBA ESSENTIAL OIL.

Not only does this smell wonderful it leaves your hands feeling soft and clean! Great product.

I wasn't sure about this soap at the beginning because of the "clean" feeling it leaves... it is different than your typical hand soaps. But I have grown to love it and can't imagine using anything else. A lot safer than other hand soaps!

I see that other commenters' opinions vary when it comes to the scent: I absolutely love it. It smells like citrus and clean at the same time. Perhaps a bit too strong, my hands still smell a good half hour after washing them (I don't mind, but I could see why it could upset some people with a sensitive nose).

However, that must be a personal skin issue, but this soap does dry out my skin pretty bad.

I usually love this company, but in spite of having very soft water, I cannot get this soap to lather. It feels more like an alcohol based skin cleanser. I cannot return because it is open. Would love to give it 5 stars. Nature clean website is under construction or I would take the issue to them.

I can't stand the smell of this stuff -- it STINKS!!! Will be getting rid of it for sure. Definitely DOES NOT smell like citrus to me! Too bad I can't give it a zero rating..................

Quality product, smell is wonderful. A little goes along way. Will purchase again. Love it.

I like the non anti-bacteria property and it leaves your hand squeaky clean and the scent takes some getting used to but now it smells clean. I also like the clear soap because it looks clean and clear. A good product that serves the purpose of a liquid soap

Best price vs quantity that I've yet to find for a natural hand soap. I have very sensitive skin and eczema and this is great for frequent hand washing.

Stephanie: about a year ago

I personally do not like the smell at all. Good price though.

Scent is okay, but not bad and it does clean well enough.
The price is great for the quantity, compared to other liquid hand soaps.
I'm a bit skeptical about the unscented version, but I may give it a try
