Now Foods Liver Detoxifier combines Milk Thistle Extract with the herbs Dandelion, Turmeric, Schisandra and Skullcap that are known to favour healthy liver function. In addition, this product includes N-Acetyl Cysteine and Methionine, two amino acids known to be essential for the production of glutathione, which is a potent free radical scavenger that also plays a critical role in maintaining the body's normal elimination pathways. Carnipure L-Carnitine supports cellular energy and inhibits fatty liver formation.

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Gelatin (capsule), cellulose, silica, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, raspberry leaf powder.

Directions: Adult Dosage: Take 1 capsule 2 times daily with or immediately before a meal/food. Use smallest effective dose which controls symptoms. Use for a minimum of 3 weeks to see beneficial effects. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 4 weeks.

Cautions: Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have liver, kidney or gall bladder diseases, and/or intestinal obstruction, kidney stones, gallstones, diabetes, a seizure disorder, pancreatitis, pancreatic exocrine insufficiency or cystic fibrosis, if you are taking acetaminophen, other medications and/or natural health products or if symptoms persist or worsen. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family, the Chenopodiaceae family, or any type or family of seaweed or have a bile duct obstruction. Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Do not use if you are sensitive to pancreatic enzymes or pork proteins or are taking antibiotics or nitroglycerin. Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain/epigastric pain and/or heartburn have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use.
