Changing the batteries is near impossible!
I purchased several of these toothbrushes at the same time. Ended up tossing one away because I simply could not get the bottom cap back on after attempting to change the batteries. Was able to replace the cap on the other one but the batteries (AA and alkaline) seem to stop & go which is most annoying. I have one more toothbrush left after my present one and that's it for me...I give up! BTW, the batteries included should last at least 3 months but they don't and I only use my battery toothbrush once a day only in the p.m....I use a manual toothbrush in the a.m.. Have to say I expected a little more from Oral B.

Please improve battery compartment
I have been using this toothbrush for years. I love that it uses disposible batteries. But the part I dread the most is changing battery. The battery compartment is so hard to open and close. It takes me 10 minutes, my whole body is sweating, I am swearing. My spouse refuses to led me a hand. Laughs aside, there has got to be a better design for this. If it take me 30 seconds to screw and unscrew my flashlight to change batteries, why can't my toothbrush do better?

Unsure why it states timer on the toothbrush?
I received this product for Christmas this year and was excited when I opened to see there was the words "timer" stated in it, though there were no instructions or anything to explain to me how the "timer" works.....Am I missing something?? Overall a good product.

replacing batteries is impossible
I now own two of these that don't work. I tried to replace the batteries in my original one with no luck. So after fighting with it for a few days I purchased a new one for I liked it. I now have two Oral B battery operated toothbrushes that I can not use...it is impossible to replace the cover that holds in the batteries. Does anyone have any hints as to how to get the cover back on? I have tried everything I can think of... I do like this toothbrush but I won't purchase a third one...

save your money !!
i purchased one of these toothbrushes a couple of months ago and then it started stalling . i figured it was the batteries so i changed them , how disappointing !still stalling !! i threw out my receipt not thinking i would need it so no returning the piece of junk ! i contacted oral B got no response ! save your money ! they don't care ! buy some other product!

Replacement heads??
I have enjoyed using this brush for the last few months. However I can't find replacement heads of the same small round style. Do I buy any of the ones for the electric toothbrushes....will they fit?
If I can't buy replacement heads, then I wouldn't recommend it.

Impossible to open battery compartment!
Always love the Oral-B round toothbrush that is simple to use and cleans much better then competitors, but the biggest flaw is the battery compartment. How on earth did they come up with this ridiculous impossible method of changing the batteries?! And if you have any kind of arthritis or othe hand issues, forget it! You will never get it opened with hurting yourself like I did many times.
As much as this rounded toothbrush works best, I've had to switch to other brands that have easy battery replacement compartments.
In addition, once you get the battery compartment opened, good luck trying to close it!
You'd think after many complaints, the company would go back to design and fix the flaw.

useful when it worked
I enjoyed the convenience of this toothbrush for about a year - whenever I travelled. Then at the start of a vacation it stopped working. I changed the batteries but that didn't help. The toothbrush would start and then stop in 2 seconds.... Thinking my spare batteries might be too old I bought new batteries. Same intermittent, weak charge.... Is this it?? Does this product only last for a year??
