GABA, Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid, is a naturally occurring amino acid that helps to temporarily promote relaxation. It suppresses nerve cell activity in the areas of the brain associated with anxiety and prevents anxiety and stress-related messages from reaching the motor centers of the brain.
