Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch uses hydrocolloid technology to effectively treat the cold sore. The patch forms a protective barrier that contains the virus and enables fast effective healing. Instantly hides, actively heals.
Directions for Use: Apply POLYSPORIN Cold Sore Healing Patch at first sign of an outbreak. When the patch starts to detach from the skin, remove it and replace it with a new one until cold sore is healed. Patches should be used 24 hours a day. On average, the patch will stay on for approximately 8 hours. You do not need to remove the patch every 8 hours, only when it begins to detach.
How to Apply:
CAUTIONS: Do not use inside the mouth, on mucous tissue or to treat genital herpes. Consult your pharmacist or doctor if the cold sore becomes severe and/or an outbreak lasts unusually long.

How to Apply:
- Wash hands. Ensure skin is clean and dry. Do not use in combination with cream as the patch may no longer stick to the lesion to provide full treatment benefits.
- Remove applicator from wrapper and hold ends using both hands.
- Gently pull each end of applicator, following the arrows, until adhesive side is half-exposed. Take care not to touch the adhesive side of the patch.
- Gently press the half-exposed part of the patch with a finger to firmly place over the cold sore.
- Slowly pull end of applicator down and away from the skin in a smooth rolling motion until the patch slips from the applicator. Make-up or lipstick can be applied over the patch. Wash your hands after application.

Life Changer
I am a teenage boy in high school and I experience cold sores fairly often. When I do get a cold sore, the only thing I ant to do is curl up in a ball and wait 2 weeks for it to finally go away. I have been using the Abreva cream my whole life and just accepted that the only way for it to heal was for a massive, crusty scab to appear. When I first saw the Polysporin patches, I didn't think they would work at all. However, when I purchased them, they worked wonders. The second I placed one on my cold sore, it felt so good because it immediately took the tingle away and made it painless. It didn't completely cover the sore up so it was invisible but it sure did make it less noticeable. My mom gave me a skin coloured foundation to lightly cover it up and now I can barely see it myself. I am no longer afraid to go to school because no one stares at me like I have a massive cold sore on my face. This amazing product changed my life and I would recommend it to everyone.

May cause permanent scarring.
I used to like Polysporin products, however, I decided to use the cold sore patches approximately 4 1/2 months ago. I used them as directed on the box. I experienced what others noticed with a big red sore the size of the patch itself.
After the sore went away I had a red mark/burn on my lower lip, it’s been over 4 months and I have a permanent red scar where the patch was located on my lip.
I have never had any scarring from any previous cold sores and I am seriously angry that I have a permanent scar on my face due to a product from a company I thought I could trust.
Some people seem to have had good results but I urge you to please test before using on your face. Being a guy I am not able to cover my newly acquired feature.

Great product!!
I have bought these in the past and was always struggling to put them on. So I did stop buying them. I recently got a cold sore and they were sold out of everything except these. I tried them and omg, they went on easy and you can't tell they are even on. You completely forget you even have a coldsore. I was healed within three days. I will highly recommend polysporin cold sore patches to everyone I know!

Great product
I noticed a cold sore two days ago so yesterday I went out to buy something for it. I came across this product and used as instructed, it's great...24 hours later and it is almost gone!! I rarely get cold sores but when I do, they linger for 8+ days, I'm so glad I won't have to deal with it for that long. The cold sore didn't even turn into a blister or anything. I couldn't be happier.

Get the Patch,get rid of Cold Sores.
Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch saved me last week from having my pictures spoiled.It was a Family Gathering and of course I was on two minds about going.I had this Cold Sore on my bottom Lip and just wouldn't go away.My Friend introduced me to Polysporin Cold Sore Patches and I was out of options so,I gave it a try.After wearing it all night on my Lip,by next morning it was almost gone.These patches are really great,they saved the Day for me.A great product that's not too expensive and really works for me.I highly recommend these patches to get rid of your cold sores,and also can be worn at any age.

amazing product!!!
I absolutely love these patches. I've been suffering from cold sores since a young age and I only wish these patches had been available sooner. as long as you know how to put them on properly they can easily last 8 hours! unless I point it out people don't even realize I am wearing it.
I love that it prevents the spread and I find it actually makes the process much less painful. works 100% better than abreva and any other prescription medicine I've tried. wonderful product!!

Expensive but worth it
Thanks to these things I can go out comfortably in public! Abreva became crusted and yellow on my cold sore. I tried the polysporin patch and it hid it right away, and held up for at least 7 hours. Never going back to abreva, this is my new go to product!

A Blessing in Disguise (literally)
WOW! Finally a product that works like it says it's going to.
This patch heals and conceals!
Bravo to the Polysporin folks. The patch keeps the active ingredients in place as long as the patch is being worn. And the beauty of the patch is that the cold sores never get to the point of red and scabby. Like magic, it is secretly being healed behind that little patch without the neon sign flashing that you have a big old cold sore. And unlike topical creams that you have to keep reapplying because you took a sip of coffee and suddenly it's all gone--you're set for the day with just one little patch.
Highly recommend this patch to anyone who suffers with cold sores. I keep my medicine cabinet stocked even if I don't have an outbreak--just in case!
This product is competitively priced with all of the other over-the-counter remedies. But even if it cost a little more, it's worth it and I'd pay it!

What I've been looking for.
Coming from someone who at the sight of a cold sore- heads to the walk in for a prescription... This product is a dream! I feel confident knowing its not growing and its actually healing too! I take my son to swimming lessons so this is extremely helpful keeping the dirty chlorine water out. Haven't tried wearing lipstick over top yet but with my caramex you can't even tell anything is there. I can go to work!! Its about time a product like this is invented for drugstores.

expensive+hurts AWFUL to apply/remove even ahering to directions
I think this product may help but I was taking Acyclovir 500 mg
every 4 hours also.
The worst part was the pain to press down on a cold sore to apply and even worse removing the patch by stretching it along the skin rather than lifting/pulling it away. Yikes! I thought every time I would gush blood from the sore due to the pain.
It is so aversive I doubt I'll ever buy these again. They do adhere well and hopefully kept my newborn grandchild from any exposure but ouch! Very painful! They are virtually invisible if you can keep from wrinkling the small patch during
application.

This is a Magic Patch....Love it!!
I love this product. I put one on the first day that the cold sore started and it is gone now. That was 3 days ago. I have never had a cold sore go away so quickly. You have to be careful putting them on but then it is on for hours...you can eat and drink and they stay. Once its on you can't even see it.

Cant live without these!
I suffer some cold sores quite often, I know everyone that gets feels the same. You want to stay indoors and never see anyone!
These patches make me feel a bit more confident! I recommend them to everyone that gets cold sores - It speeds up the process it usually takes 1 week for it to be completely gone
I always have some with me at all times just in case I feel the itch!
HIGHLY recommended and a life saver. Thank you for making these!!!

I love this product. If you read the instructions on how to apply and remove they are very clear and accurate. It's is not hard to apply and is very easy to remove when done properly. I am so happy there is I product like this to hide and treat my cold sore. Please continue making this product because I couldn't live without it.

This product is not worth buying
It felt good to have my cold sore hidden, but when I took the patch off it ripped open my cold sore. Then when I put another patch on, the liquid from my open sore started oozing out the sides.

OMG!!!!
Soooo amazing! I have been getting cold sores since I was about 6 years old so they are something I’ve definitely struggled with. I get them about 2-3 times a year and mine are they very big angry red bumps with a very unpleasant looking blister. Two days ago I woke up with a big lump forming in my lip and by the afternoon it was companied with a gigantic blister. I’ve always used abreva and it is effective for me in that it shortens the lifespan of the cold sore but I never tried the patches. I used abreva all day and then in the evening starting trying these patches. My cold sore was barely noticeable by noon the next day!!!! Two days later there’s nothing left! I’ve never had one go away within a day and this is the first time I’ve used the patches! I’d like to mention also I used lysine supplements twice the first day, an animo acid that’s effective against cold sores. These patches hid the cold sore so well, reduced swelling, made it a lot less red, and healed it!!!

Instant improvement and speedy healing of cold sores
I have no problem putting these on, just follow the diagrams provided. I had the cold sore for a couple of days before putting on the first patch. Instantly got relief from the pain, plus it was protected from being touched, wiped or injured inadvertently every few minutes as is the case without it. Once I took off the the first patch after wearing it all day, the sore looked smaller, less inflamed and looked like it was starting to heal. I think the 8 hour suggestion is good, by that time it’s good to take it off, wash the area and put a fresh one on. This is the only product I have found to actually make having a cold sore less of an issue and help it go away quicker with less pain pain. It also helps make the sore look less obvious. Great product, highly recommend it.

Made it double
Dont buy this product it's a waste of money. I put it on my cold sore and it oozed liquid underneath the patch and looked huge so I took it off and cleaned it and this time let it dry completely and tried again, sure enough same thing, completely oozed and looked like a giant blister on my lip. Worse than the actual look of a cold sore. Then when I removed it my cold sore was twice as big as before. It was tiny and now it's a full blown cold sore. Don't bother with this

Love it
Love it. If I lick my lips I know that the virus will not spread. As soon as I put it on the pain was gone. No throbbing or swelling feeling. However it is quite pricey and you need to make sure you understand how to apply.

Absolutely worth every penny!
I have found these patches excellent. They cover well and I have never been able to notice them once they are on. They also allow the sore to heal much quicker and with minimal to no pain. I would highly recommend these.

Such a relief
I (thankfully) don't get cold sores too often, but as soon as I feel one starting I grab my stash of these. I'm not a fan of the creams available on the market since the sore remains exposed to the environment and I don't have time to apply layer after layer to try to keep it clean, moisturized, and healing.
These keep the sores protected from bacterial infections (which I've gotten when trying to use abreva) and seem to have a soothing effect. I love them and recommend to everyone I know who gets cold sores to try.
The only downside is removal. When the sore is blistering it tends to 'ooze' out the side. Between that, movement of your mouth and saliva an edge does form eventually so its time to put on a new patch. Even with waiting hours after this point to ensure the patch is nice and loose, the sensitive skin over the blisters likes to shift/ tear as you try to remove the patch. I've tried different tricks/ techniques to lessen the changes but it seems inevitable. Ultimately I would rather go through a bit of pain 2-3x a day than have this thing exposed constantly.

Price vs value
I have used polysporin cold sore patch several times now. And the polysporin patch has worked wonderfully. Butt I feel the price is very high for me... everytime I have gone to buy the polysporin patch I hesitate when I see the price is very difficult to spend that kind of money on a little patch even though it works really really well!!! Amazing!
It's way better than cold sore cream. No mess. I bought it last week and I only have 2 left, I wish I could afford to buy one more package to completely heal my cold sore. It is very pricey for me :(

I've been getting cold sores since I was in high school, working with people every day it can be terrible to get one of these and knowing everyone is staring. These patches are amazing I wear them through out the day as well as at night for 4 days top and its gone! No pain, no itch! I feel much more confident wearing this. I always have them on me just in case! Thank You Thank You!!!!

Absolutely mortified!
I usually only get a cold sore once or twice a year, I've always used abreava, when I feel the first tingle... I bought these because the store was out of abreava to have on hand, yesterday I started to feel the tingle so I put a patch on, put a new one on before bed and a third one on this morning... My cold sore is the biggest I have ever had!!! And a second one is forming right beside the first one! I work in the service industry!! I am absolutely mortified and am praying it's not this big in two days when I have to work! I'm actually getting depressed over this! :(

Not impressed
I was rather disappointed with the product. The first time, I found it difficult to apply and consequently the patch wrinkled a bit. However, I was quite impressed with how well it hid the cold sore. On that point, it works very well. BUT, the application and removal process is so delicate that based on my experience this completely eliminated any benefit. On removal, I found it pulled the blister right off and kind of put me back to square one. Even though I read the instructions, this happened twice! At that point I gave up. I've read on another site if you make the "kissy" face, it makes it easier to remove. Or perhaps, add water or something. A "how-to" apply/remove video on youtube might be beneficial.

Lifesaver!!!
My friend told me about these little magic patches so I decided to try them out. They worked great when they were on but I noticed they were a little difficult to take off. I read the instructions and it shows you how to take them off properly! Was much better after that. Highly recommend them to others.

Makes things worse
I have used every variety of medicated patch on the market and along with this product they only cause for more extreme cold sores than I would ever normally get.
Currently the small tingling spot I had a couple days ago is one of the worst cold sores I've ever had. It quickly turned into three (one directly under and one coming out from either side) within a day of applying it. The same thing happens every time. Initially I thought there was some sort of adjusting to be had but no, same result every time.
Also, aside from allowing my cold sores to thrive these things are IMPOSSIBLE to remove without tearing said cold sores wide open. What the heck? Could soak my face all day and still it tears the skin off and causes for a more nasty looking open wound. Not to mention that a portion of it always lifts (from general moisture) and causes for a disgusting flap of plastic on my lip.
Not a worthy purchase. I will stick to abreva and lysine.

Best at the beginning ...
I love this product! I find that if I put one of these on as SOON as I feel a cold sore coming in, the patch prevents a major outbreak from occurring. I used to get really big swollen cold sores but since I started using these they barely stick around for a couple days and stay contained so well that they are barely noticeable at all! I stop using them after a day or so to allow the sore to scab over though, as I've seen some people say that the patch can pull off the scab and prolong the healing phase. Overall I'm very happy with the product.

Great product, one concern
I love this product because it hides my cold sore so well and prevents spreading. However I had a pimple on the edge of my lower lip a few days before a cold sore started right above it and when I put this patch on my almost non existent pimple had to be covered as well. It started to sting just over where my pimple was and then when I woke up it was a big bump and now it looks worse than the cold sore. I don't understand what happened. Other than that I really like this product.
