The Soap Works Carbolic Soap is a naturally scented, anti-bacterial, and mildly antiseptic soap. This is a very traditional type of soap that is recommended for acne and makes a great deodorant bar
Over the centuries, a lot of lore has evolved surrounding Carbolic soap. The Soap Works has had a customer tell them that they dissolve Carbolic soap shavings in hot water, then spray the soap mixture over their lawn to get rid of those root-eating grubs. Some customers hang Carbolic bars from their fruit trees or stake them around vegetable patches to discourage unwanted browsers. In many parts of the world Carbolic soap is one of the few everyday symbols of European colonial times. It has been told that surgeons still scrub with carbolic soap in remote hospitals in India.

Disappointed
I bought this soap because it was suggested in many resources that true carbolic soap is great as a disinfectant but after more research I come to find that this soap is in fact not made with carbolic acid rather it is scented and coloured to look and smell like carbolic soap! Your listed ingredients don’t even say what type of disinfectants/antiseptics are actually in it. Your other soaps are so good and mostly natural so I’m quite disappointed by this one... I’m also concerned with the amount of dye that’s got to be in it to make it that colour!

Carbolic Soap
The carbolic soap I used to use was stronger in scent than the one I recently bought. Found it now has only a slight scent to it. Disappointed at the new one

Is this actually Carbolic Soap?
No list of ingredients. Doesn't smell like the carbolic soap of memory. Has the word carbolic printed into one side. Very unsure.
