Having really dry winters in Canada, it's important to have the best moisturizer for keeping my skin soft. It's also important that I get something hypoallergenic because a few of my family members have very touchy skin. I can safely say Vaseline Baby Petroleum Jelly is a great addition to the Vaseline brand, it's perfect for not just baby's skin but for everyone in the family. It does the job of keeping skin smooth and soft, but also ensures no allergic reactions and no strong scents post use. I loved the the jelly and would highly recommend it.

Broken lid hinge
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Shortly after buying this product for the first time the lid hinge snapped. Looks like a weak point. Several times I have dropped the container on the floor because the lid is not attached securely. Other brands without the hinge have a tighter fitting lid that does not give any problems. Overall the product is of good quality.

Not for sensitive skin contains fragrance!
Grabbed this without realizing it contained fragrance- that’s a no go for sensitive skin. I didn’t think to check the ingredients since it was labelled especially for babies.

THIS PRODUCT HAS FRAGRANCE!!?*
I purchased this product because it says its for babies and upon use realized theres fragrance in it! I specifically purchased this because it is labelled for babies! I can't believe the error in product development that no one thought to label the package saying it contains fragrance since this is targeted for babies sensitive skin. What a waste of time and product. If anyone is reading this, just know that you should stick to the original vaseline!

Label should mention product is heavily scented
Was very surprised this product was so heavily scented, since there is no mention of that on the front label. I am asthmatic and can't tolerate scented products, so I wasted my money here.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I had never used petroleum jelly until I had my first baby. We received a container as a shower gift and basically used it every diaper change. The nurses in the hospital also recommended that we use it to create a moisture barrier between diaper changes. BEST stuff ever! We used Vaseline right up until my daughter started potty training and we use it now with my son who is still in diapers. It keeps the wetness off of their skin and also helps keep their skin soft, not to mention the baby powder scent, smells so fresh and clean.

Heavily perfumed
I bought this online as it has NO mention that it has baby powder perfume in it. I assumed that since it is for babies, it is hypoallergenic. Boy was I wrong. I have returned this product and do not recommend it for use on baby's sensitive skin or if you have scent sensitivities. It is HEAVILY perfumed.

My DD been using this for 2 years now, she started to have an eczema when she was 2 months old and this was recommended by her pedia to lock in the moisture and works very well! I've tried those eczema moisturizers/lotion but nothing works but just the Vaseline, even up to now when season change, this is my go-to for my DD :)

Love the scent!
I am an adult and I love the scent! I feel this should be targeted for anyone (adults and children) so parents won’t confuse it as “just for babies”. It would be great to put that it has a Fresh Scent on the label. My only con is I would like for the scent to stick to my skin longer than 5 minutes.

Worsens rashes
I bought it two days ago and used it to protect my nine months old baby girl from diaper rash. The result was the opposite. She couldn't sleep well that night. I could not figure out the cause immediately. It is very upsetting as a mom. To my knowledge, i could not understand why the product is scented, baby's diaper rash products must not have any scents at all.

Love This Stuff
As a mother of children who have sensitive skin, I am hyper aware of packaging that even looks like it might have scent added. I assumed that since this jar has "baby" written in pink, it was going to be scented just as the pink baby moisturizer from another brand is.
I bought this for use on myself in my nighttime routine. My skin has been angry for a long time, and I decided to go back to what my grandmother used to do. Vaseline has been a protective wonder for me and my dry angry skin, and I love the 'baby' version because of the light, comforting fragrance.

smells like perfume
I bought for my son's eczema and this does not mention anything about perfume in label as people with eczema it can be triggered with smells due to the chemicals and even on the site it does not show all ingredients and cause of smell.

Great product
I am 63 this summer and have used jelly on my face for 50 yrs no makeup I don't smoke the odd glass of wine at Xmas. I am very pleased with my face. I have tried other so called non allergic face creams and broke out from them. I use the Coco Vaseline and the Baby scent only wash my face with Ivory soap bar and apply Vaseline and good to go.

This product is literally heaven. I bought the baby version because I like the added fragrance. It has a very nice and light smell. Vaseline is literally the only thing that I have found that works for my dry cracked lips every Winter. It doesn't moisturise but it definitely locks in and keeps the moisture that you already have so that your lips don't dry out any further. I found all my other chapsticks either just did not work or ended up aggravating the problem further. I use this every night before bed and my lips haven't been chapped in a year!

MY ERROR DID NOT REALIZE IT SMELLED OF PERFUME
I should have read "all" reviews, my error? Hate the smell, it is for me and I am far from being a baby, but I just in my mind thought it might be more purified or different consistency than regular Vaseline which I have been using over 70 years! Very deceptive but other day Pharmacist recommended a brand of soap for baby for my problem skin and when unwrapped it, realized had PERFUME in it - "Parfum" indeed! No fault of Well Canada but manufacturer, IMO Will put it in box to give away. I don't want replacement, just disappointed.

I also use it for my lips to moisturize them. I find that this one has a really nice scent (that I would associate with babies) compared to regular Vaseline. I also find that it is significantly softer than regular Vaseline. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with a baby or anyone looking for a good moisturizer. I would definitely purchase again as well!

Vaseline is great for moisturizing your skin, making it soft, reducing itchiness and irritation, massaging the skin etc etc. It can also be used as a lip balm and is great for the nighttime as you'll wake up with soft, lucious lips every time! I also use it on my feet after showering, because my feet look dry very easily, and vaseline fixes that problem! I know some people find it greasy, and I agree, but that's the texture of this product - it's a jelly not a cream.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I took a hint from my mom, who typically buys baby products often. Not only are they usually not filled with as many chemicals as the ones for "adults", they usually have a fairly pleasant smell and are great for sensitive skin.<br />
I decided to try this on myself because I have very dry skin on my heels. This works great! And it doesn't have much of a smell at all. The best thing about it is that it gets your hands SO smooth. You might even say baby smooth ;)

Amazing!!
Cleared my 5 month olds eczema! She was covered in tiny red dots that the hospital & gp diagnosed as eczema. My mother used Vaseline her whole life & im so glad I tried it on my babies skin!! A little Vaseline mixed with a pump of qv cream and wow her skin is soooo clear!! Love it!!!

Love the scent!
Please don’t discontinue this product. The scent is amazing! It is the scent that got me hooked! I have to admit before this baby line came out, I was never a fan of Vaseline. It smells wonderful - very sweet and not overpowering at all!

Don't buy this for sensitive baby skin!
I bought baby vaseline thinking it would not be scented only to find out it has parfum in it. I'll be throwing it in the garbage, your labeling should be more clear.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Vaseline Baby Petroleum Jelly is not just for babies. I have, on more than one occasion, received a sunburn during the summer. My Momma used to rub the Vaseline on our bodies when we were babies to keep our skin moisturized. One thing I use this for is when I do get sunburned, I rub it on whatever got burnt, cover it and go to bed ... the following morning, the sunburn would be gone. :)

I've found that Vaseline definitely does it's job in making sure that moisture does not break down the delicate skin of your baby. It's price is ok but the quality and effectiveness is great! I do not recommend this product if the child already has a diaper rash, as this is only a barrier.

Great protection for baby
I have been using this Vaseline baby for 2 months now on my newborn and it works great! It is a bit difficult to get out of the jar (especially when you’re at the end of the container and have to get your entire fist inside) but it is easy to spread on bum. I use the bum brush to scoop out and it works great! I’m already on my second tub and I really like the smell of this product. It’s a great aroma when you’re using it on baby.

But, I have always been a fan of Vaseline as a protectant against diaper rash. I slathered it on all four of my kids' baby bottoms and they rarely had even a hint of redness. I still buy big tubs even though my kids are out of diapers as I use it for lots of other jobs as well.

Grew up with the Vaseline brand. Used it as a diaper cream for my three daughters. It is an all time favourite in my household. There is always a tube in the car, my purse and in the kitchen.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I know many people including doctors recommend using Vaseline but I have found that I get extreme ichiness after using and my hands feel hot. I eventually have to just wash it off or get it off somehow as it really bothers my skin. I have also tried using on my feet and that is a little better at softening but still ichy.
