I do not wear contacts. My meds make my whole set of mucous membranes totally dry - nose, mouth, and eyes. I have tried several drops and they are not good enough - they disappear quickly. This ointment is very comfortable and long lasting. I did not notice how small a tube it is though so next time I am trying the Bausch & Lomb Liposic Opthalmic Liquid Gel which is a three times larger tube.
