Fluor-a-day Chewable 0.5 mg Tablets

Fluor-a-day is a factor in the prevention of dental caries in children. Each Fluor-a-day chewable 0.5 mg F (full strength) contains 1.10 mg sodium fluoride, equivalent to 1.0 mg Fluoride ion.

Dosage depends on concentration of Fluoride in drinking water and child age. Tablets need to be chewed before swallowing, preferably after brushing teeth. Drops should be administered in juice or water. Please refer to the product labels for dosing instructions.

It is well-established that ingestion of fluoridated drinking water (1 ppm Fluoride) during the period of tooth development results in a significant decrease in the incidence of dental caries. Fluor-a-day tablets were developed to provide Fluoride for those living in areas where the water Fluoride level is 0.6 ppm or less.

The use of Fluoride Supplements is not recommended where community drinking water contains 0.7 ppm or more of Fluoride or in artificially fluoridated water as mottling of the teeth enamel may result. As in the case of all medications, keep out of reach of children.

Store at room temperature between 15°C and 30°C.
