Actually this is not derived by any cruel process (as per comment by Kaitlin); the colostrum is only taken is AFTER the calf has finished nursing. This supplement is known to boost the immune system when you need it - I'm giving it to my dog right now because she is dealing with a fungal infection of the bladder and this was recommended by one of the continent's best naturopathic vets! I hear this particular brand is made with the milk of New Zealand cows, which live in pollution-free conditions. I was extremely happy to find it at Well.ca because none of the stores in my area carry it. The service was great and the package arrived in a couple of days. I will buy again from Well.ca !
I have fibromyalgia and find this product is of great help during the winter season for helping to control my pain. I take a fairly high dose though so it doesn't last long....
Do people not realize how cruel it is to deny a calf it's first milk? In order to get this product, a baby cow has to suffer.
This product has been used for years for my dog who has skin issues. The current product does not have as much powder per capsule as others I have purchased; however am unable to establish the efficacy at this stage.
