I'm combining together black color with ash brown to have a darker brown and it's just subtile! I love this product! i'll never go back to chemical coloring!

Very nice color and very nice kind of Henna. My hair are so shine and the color is very looking natural but colored.
I love it and I am very happy to find this henna on Well.ca.

My hair is 95% grey and this product covered it 100%. My natural colour was brunette. I chose the Brown and it looks natural on me. I left the henna on for 2 hrs. A few wiry hairs on the hairline near my ears only partially took the colour, but the same thing always happened with chemical dyes done in the salon, too. I love the fact this product is chemical-free and my hair feels nice, not dry and brittle. I'm definitely using henna from now on.

I couldn't find Colora henna powder anywhere and was really happy to find it here. Great product that leaves your hair soft and thick. My trick is to leave it saran wrapped for two hours. Add water slowly so it's not too thin and runs down your face and neck. Vaseline along the hairline stops your skin from getting dyed too. I really love this product and hope they continue to carry it.

I have lots of grey hair and had accidentally dyed it almost black with a chemical dye. My roots were really showing. I used the Ash brown colour for the first time, seven weeks after using a chemical dye. My grey roots darkened to a light brown and blend better with the previously dyed hair. I hear that henna colours deepen with subsequent applications too.
The process was not noticeably messier than a chemical dye and took about as long to wash out. I left it in for four hours, wrapping my hair in saran wrap. I also put a thin layer of vaseline on the skin around my hairline and did not notice any discolouration on my skin.
All in all, much nicer than constantly using a chemical dye.

Very good product and very nice color (red sunset). My hair look healty and red and natural. I used that product since 15 year and i am very happy to refind it on Well.ca beacause i was unable to find it any where.

I've been using Colora Henna for more than 20 years. This natural product gives my hair body and lustre as well as rich colour. Now that grey hair is sneaking in, the henna gives the subtle effect of glowing streaks instead of grey. Just love the product!

Incredible that you carry this. Lost it from my own drugstore 20 years ago and am thrilled to go back to it. BTW, I always body-permed over it (extra time) but it did work and I had magnificent hair. No more perms but am looking forward to using this product again. Bought 4!

This is the reason why my hair is so beautiful! I have never coloured my hair and continue to have my ginger hair like when I was a kid. I'm over 40 and it covers the few grey's and leaves my hair soft and pretty. If this product was not available I would be in beauty trouble :) Thanks so much Colora!

Thank you so much for having this product, Henna, and making it available to everyone. I cannot find it anywhere in Calgary. I love this product and have been using it for 30 years now, and is much better for my hair than any other hair dying product. I love the way it slowly fades and shows no roots growing, as it blends so well with my natural colour. . . and adds shine and body.
Samm: a few months ago
As I am a male, I didn't want to change my colour but add a nice tint to it and add some shine. It did just that! I mixed it with warm water and lemon juice (I read those tips online). I found out after that I made it too think so it was hard to apply to my hair, drying up and hard to get into the roots. I am pleased with the colour and will be doing it again making it more watery. Overall I like it so far.
Patricia: a few months ago
I use the neutral (no-colour) variety of this product. It's excellent for fine hair like mine as it adds lots of body as well as shine, and gives a nice smooth texture to the hair. I only wish it lasted longer.

I've been faithfully using Colora Henna for almost 40 years... it naturally gives my hair a gorgeous cellophane tint...it protects, thickens and adds a deep sheen After 40 years of compliments I wouldn't consider changing my brand.
It's kind to my hair and kind to the environment - and it's economical!

Henna is always a good choice as natural, chemical free dye. This product gets the job done even though it is very messy.
Cristina: a few months ago
Colora Henna is a wonderful,100% natural and chemical free roduct that leaves a gorgeous shine and subtle color enhancement. I use the mahogany for lovely auburn effects, and my hair also feels thicker and healthier for weeks after applying it.

This product is really nice. It is messy but well worth it. I like it because it is all natural and it really makes your hair feel healthy.

It's very messy to use (hence the 4 stars; if they can come up with a less messy version then I'd be very happy!) but it's a good product, especially if you're concerned about using normal chemical hair colouring. My tips: use surgical latex gloves (you can find them in the dollar store) and put newspaper in the bathtub to catch the drips while you're applying the product (less staining and mess to clean up afterward). Also if you sit with the product on and place plastic wrap (or I use produce bags as a kind of shower hat) then more product will absorb into your hair.

This product is really nice! I've received compliments on the color of my hair. It also adds shine and volume. It can be messy but still worth it.

Excellent product. For men with regular hair length, you can use half a box every two weeks and you hair is always looking great.
Sarah: a few months ago
This product is excellent! It really adds volume and shine to the hair. The color is noticeable after two applications. However, I recommend keeping it on for at least 2 hours before rinsing it out. It seems that the more you use it the better the results. It also helped with my dandruff! Really satisfied!
sah: a few months ago
I would give this 3.5 stars. Pros: It is natural and non-irritating. Cons: There isn't much henna in the box (so the product is much more expensive compared to other brands), and it needs to be left on for much longer than the indications on the box (preferably 6-8 hours at least for good color payoff).
Mona: a few months ago
Best hair colouring product ever. Yes, it is messy to use but the benefits to your hair are definitely worth it. After a few applications, you'll have the healthiest, shinest hair imaginable.

I use Henna (powder form) over 25 years and I was always happy.I tried this brand as a cream and it doesn't cover my roots...I will return to henna in powder ... ... bonus - 100% natural ! I' m very disappointed !!!
Marley: a few months ago
I honestly didn't like this very much. It did an okay job of colouring my hair, there was some discolouration, and it was SUPER messy. The instructions were fairly vague so I could have added the wrong amount of water but afterwards there were blue spots all over my bathroom counter and floor. It took hours to get them off. I much prefer the Cream version of this product.
Melanie: a few months ago
I was very happy with this product. No reactions like itching or stinging. It covered the grey by making it look more coppery. I left mine on for 4 hours. Next time I use it I'm going to mix it up & let it sit overnight. It is supposed to give a more intense colour that way.
Lynn: a few months ago
I have plenty of experience with many kinds of henna and I chose this one because it's made of just leaves - no other potentiallly dicey chemical ingredients. Ordinarily packages other suppliers' packages offer 100g; this one was only 60g - whmich is just adequate for short hair. The thing with henna is that if you start with dark hair you will not see much of a change in your hair colour. My own colour did not change much but my little bit of gray (at temples) did become red (I used red susnset) but the rest of my hair only shows a difference in colour when I'm in the sun; it's VERY subtle. What I like is that I know it's non-toxic and, in my opinion, it's ok for kids to use. Also I have experimented with mixing the powder with hot coffee, hot tea, hot fresh-squeezed lemon juice and just plain boiled water but cannot see any difference with any of them. Sure the application is messy (I keep it on for about 2 hours under a shower cap, under a towel) and it's no big deal.

I love this product, I mix two colours to achieve my desired result.
I really like how it makes my hair feel. I have used packaged hair colouring and it dries out my hair and makes it feel like straw. Colors henna make my hair feel healthy. I get alot of compliments on my hair when I use this product. I am so happy that I can order this product on line.
Thanks

fantastic way to colour hair - it leaves it shiny and smooth and healthy with a lovely colour that lasts with gentle shampoo. a bit messy but well worth it

I have used Colora Henna powder for many years, I love this product. I am 63 years old and have shiny healthy hair. The colora turns the grey hair a nice carmel colour and looks very natural. I hate applying it and recently tried the Colora Henna in the cream version but the results were not the same, the colour was different although I used the same "Brown" and the hair looked flat, so I ended up repeating the Henna with the powdered version. I boil the water before mixing it and let it cool and then leave the product on for 2 hours and this seems to work well for me. I also only concentrate on applying the henna to the roots, so one box will cover even though I have shoulder length hair. The henna doesn't seem to wash out of the "older hair".

Great product and I really the like colour on my hair, it's so rich looking. Also, my hair is really shiny now. It is a bit goopy to put on but I love that it is natural and I will continue using it.

No surprises when I use this brand. It is very reliable and very consistent. Every time I purchase the Colora brand, I get what I expect. Some surprises you just do not need.

I use the red sunset and the colour is great. I like that it's a natural product. A little messy though. My hairdresser suggested mixing powder with red wine instead of water to really boost the colour. Looks great!

Excellent alternative to damaging dye, conditions and colours nicely, though more time consuming.

I have used this product for years. It perfectly covers my ever increasing grey hairs while adding natural body and shine to my original hair color. It is a terrific product for those who do not wish to soak their head in dangerous toxic chemicals but still like to have young looking hair.
Barbara: a few months ago
I like the product and I have been using it for years. Most of the time I buy the "Red Sunset" henna and I mix the powder with freshly brewed, very strong tea (two tea bags per cup) instead of just hot water. My hair always looks very shiny and healthy!
Carrie: a few months ago
I love this stuff its great on my blonde hair, the only issue though is, it seems to wash out of my roots really fast. I wonder if its a problem lots of people have? or is it just when used on blonde hair? It works great on the rest of my hair and doesn't fade at all, I still have very red hair a couple months after dying it with no re-dying.

I love henna since it allows me to colour my 95% grey hair without getting an allergic reaction. It's easy to use - just mix with water.

Due to allergies to PPD, I have to use henna. At first I did not see henna sold on well.ca so I was the one who requested that it be added, and I am quite happy to say that you added it to be sold on your website right away, and happy to see that others are pleased with the product as well now.

I used to dislike my hair and now I love it because of colora henna. I used "Gold Brown" on my medium to light brown hair; the result is a shiny, vibrant and natural chestnut colour, and my wiry grays now look like spun gold plus my hair is thicker and healthier. Some tips - it is messy, so lots of towels and old clothing are a must. It's easier to rinse out if you use lots of conditioner. I have almost bra-strap length hair, and two boxes wasn't quite enough, next time I'll get three. Also, I read some info on another henna site that suggested mixing the henna with something acidic like lemon juice, and letting it sit in a plastic bowl covered in plastic wrap for at least twelve hours before applying. I then caked it on my hair, wrapped my head in plastic wrap, wrapped it in a towel and left it on for about four hours. The results are magnificent!!!

This is a wonderful product. I use it to cover my greys, but it also gives your hair such a rich and healthy feel. I couldn't find Colora for a long time, so it was great to find a Canadian distributor who offers more than just one or two of these colours!
Joanna: about a year ago
My first try using Colora Henna. My natural hair color is medium brown with just a few stray grays here and there. I bought CH in Chestnut and Natural, and mixed them together. My hair is not even shoulder length, and I ended up needing two full packets of CH to fully cover the hair.
The result was a nice, chestnut-y and very shiny hair, but my darker brown roots and my grays remained unaffected (after 4 hours of having the product in the hair). Definitely a good product but, from now on, I will try to match the CH shade more closely to the darkest part of my natural hair.
The application of CH is really easy, but the removal takes some time; the gritty texture takes a while to wash out of the hair.
On another note: if you do not want any color but just a superb conditioning and shine - the Colora Henna in Natural is absolutely fabulous.

You definitely need to be dedicated to your health to use this, as it's not nearly as easy to use as the toxic colourants. I have long hair and found it hard to apply because it's so grainy, and even harder to rinse out. That being said, I will use again (found a tip that said to mix with boiling water and let cool). My hair feels great and has a nice subtle colour.
Kristy: about a year ago
Very good, agree with other reviewers; as a 4-6 week chemical colorer the experience was a little underwhelming but the end result is shine and subtle color that is well blended. And no roots! Sometimes that is the only reason I even color my hair.
Kristy: about a year ago
I didn't mind this product; being a person who colors their hair every 4-6 weeks and this my first time using Henna, the experience was a bit underwhelming. I think it might have helped if I had let the powder soak in water overnight (or at least a few hours) as I read on other henna hair labels. I would also leave it on for at least 90 minutes. I do like that it affected both the dyed and undyed parts of my hair more subtly than I am used to with chemical dyeing. I will use it again before I rule it out :)

I have never coloured or even use heat on my hair , it is just that dry. I have always have a lot of red in my hair until lately, it has been darkening and it's now dark brown with red highlights. I want to bring the red back and liked that this was a natural way to do it. I used red sunset and left it on for about 4 hours. The result, very natural but I love it I'm ordering gold brown now and can't wait to see what this will do .

This is the only hair coloring product (and I have tried a range of them, including those that claim to be safe!) that doesn't leave me with a severe allergic reaction - a burning rash, blistered and oozing ears, etc. I like the sparkle and tones it adds, and strangers often compliment me on my hair. This was my last hope for hair color - and it worked!.

A decent alternative to damaging and harmful chemicals, however you have to use the product more frequently and the applications a little longer than described on the label. A good, safe and easy-to-use product that is natural.

A wonderful product all natural without the chemicals used in other hair dyes. I've gotten great results with it and I highly recommend it.
Sherri: about a year ago
Wonderful ,safe organic haircolour. It coats each hair, making it look fuller. Brilliant shine. No chemicals, just plants. And the big thing with me as an animal rights advocate, Colora is not tested on animals.
It's an absolute five star product. Been using it for years.

I have been using Colora Henna for years and would use nothing else. It is hard to find in my small community so I was very happy to discover that Well carries the product. I have nothing but good things to say about the ordering experience with well.ca and the product came quickly and in good condition.

I prefer this product over other hair colouring products. However it doesn't really cover all the grey hairs. blahh... but still it gives nice shiny tone to my hair!
FG: more than a year ago
I agree with previous commenters, except my experience is not the same as Aisha's. The redder shades of Colora Henna are actually extremely bright when used on light hair, ie carrotty. I prefer the Gold Brown shade which makes my light brown hair a nice natural looking but definitely a vibrant and noticable auburn. The wheat blonde and buttercup blonde shades don't affect my hair colour at all. I think the key is that henna and natural dyes can add colour, but not take it away. So you are really restricted to Colora Henna colours that are darker or redder than your natural colour.
For some reason hairdressers seem to get taught that henna is bad and they tell me it will destroy my hair. I don't agree.
Cheryl: more than a year ago
I love this product! It's long lasting and leaves my hair full shiny soft & healthy looking. It's not as easy to rinse out as commercial hair coloring, but it's worth it for the added bonus...it's a natural product.
aisha: more than a year ago
I love using henna. It provides highlights, shine, and leaves hair incredibly healthy. I always get compliments after I henna my hair. But if you are looking for a dramatic hair colour change, this won't do the trick. You have to resort to the harsh chemical brands for that. One trick is that you can build up the colour by dying every two weeks for a few months. Each time you dye, the colour becomes more vibrant..
Rosalba: more than a year ago
Love this product..been using for 5 years...leaves hair soft and silky and the color looks natural...it gives my boring brown luster and highlights...I mix chestnut, gold brown and red sunset to create wonderful "color".
Kendra: more than a year ago
I have been using this product for quite a while and I would definitely recommend it. It feels a bit strange to apply since it feels a lot like warm mud but once you let it set and then wash it out you will have beautiful highlights. I have medium to dark brown hair and i usually use the burgundy or mahogany henna. The result is a gorgeous warm red tone that is not super obvious and it does not look like you have dyed your hair (you never get roots). It also leaves your hair super shiny and conditioned! Excellent choice for someone who wants a change but does not want it to scream 'look I dyed my hair!'

I have been using this product for over 20 years with incredible results. My results are not typical. I am a natural redhead with fading and over 50% "white" - which is how redheads age. This product gives me 100% coverage and fantastic, natural colour. I combine 2-3 colours and get natural highlights - brighter reds with "blond" streaks where I was gray. The downside - you cannot colour or perm over natural henna. Switching to another product means growing out or a VERY short cut. Strangers continually stop me to comment on my hair colour and health.
