Colora Henna Powder is 100% natural vegetable organic hair colour.
Ingredients: Henna. May also contain: Indigo, Centaurea, Rhubarb, Beetroot.
This was my first time trying henna, after having a reaction to chemical colour. I used the Mahogany and was quite pleased with the results. It is very messy as I find it drips during the application time even with a shower cap and hat over it, but after leaving it on for just over 2 hours, I was pleased with the colour and it did hide my grey. Will definitely continue to use as a chemical free option for great colour.
A wonderful product. I have baby fine blonde hair and I used the indigo and henna. My hair didn't turn black, but it darkened to a deep brown and blended with my old, chemical hair dye perfectly. My hair is thicker and shinier. The application of this stuff is a little messy, but it smells like a nice, fresh pile of leaves. Would totally recommend and will be buying again.
I love Colora henna and have been using it for years. Red sunset is my colour- I usually leave it on 4 hours and get a beautiful reddish hue over my medium brown hair- really warms up and brightens my hair colour (just what i need for the winter blahs). I hadn't used it for awhile and only left it on for 2 hours- still a beautiful colour but more subtle than I was looking for. I usually find it conditions and makes my hair soft- not so this time. Don't know if it was because I didn't leave it on as long as I usually do or if the formula has been altered but initially my hair felt drier- I don't use conditioner daily but after using the henna this time I had to condition it after washing for about a week and then my hair felt normal again. Glad to see this product on well.ca- I will definitely be buying it again
its a very good quality product. it didnt add any color to my hair maybe due to the fact that i allready have natural raid hair. next one i will try is mahogany. but it is nice and smooth to put it on and my hair got some very nice shine that lasted a long time. i like this product.
Just used the burgundy colour and was totally dissatisfied. What a waste of time! I have used colora in mahogany and auburn sunset with great results, but burgundy for some reason just didn't work at all. My greys are still grey and my hair looks the same. I did notice that the product was very gritty and didn't really get creamy (mashed potato-ey) like the other times I used it. I even thinned it out more than usual and had no luck. Not sure if it was a one off or what, but I won't buy it again, that's for sure.
Does not damage hair, fades gradually/no roots. Make sure to allow henna to sit a few hours in a warm spot after mixing before applying to hair. Leave on at least 3 hours. Use lots of conditioner during the rinsing as it is the only thing that will allow the henna to slip off of the hair. LOVE this stuff and well.ca is the only place left to get it for me!
Fantastic product! I didn't follow the instructions on the box and instead read some henna recipes online and followed those instructions. I was expecting it to be really messy to apply but it was relatively simple. It was messy while rinsing out though. I have used Chestnut on my medium/dark brown hair and it gave it a nice hint of red. I have also used Ash Brown which gave me more of a neutral dark brown. I will definitely keep using this.
People really aren't joking about the Red Sunset colour. Wow, wow, wow! Amazing! I doubt I'll ever use anything else again. I've met my match!
Bought black and mahogany. I have thick hair well below the shoulders and needed two packets. Very messy to apply so best if someone does it for you. Even better if you can get someone to wash it out for you too in a sink salon style because again, very messy. Took me five shampoos to get the bits and gritty pieces out and still had bits left when brushed our. Didn't wash my hair beforehand. Left it in for three hours wrapped in cling film. I have lots of white in font and on crown. Covered them all. They didn't turn completely black but they have become darkly tinted and totally blend with my hair now. Naturally dark brown hair, next time will try one if the lighter shades so that whites look like high lights. Also, the scent is quite strong, some people might not like it. I will definitely buy again.
I LOVE the Red Sunset - as a natural red head that is not ready to embrace the fading color of the natural shade this works wonders - a fab product that conditions too - easy to use and great value
Alright,so after reading all the 'optimist' reviews, i had really high expectations on this product. I mean, it gives color and fixes your split ends, all this naturally ?! Little did i know that all this was too good to be true . I bought 4 packs of burgundy color and spent 33$ so i could be eligible for free shipping . The package arrrived the next day, boy i was impressed! I would give 5/5 for the shipping and customer service.. however the product did mot work ! At all! I have black hair and thought that the burgundy henna could make it burgundy as stated in the very vague instructions, but nop! I followed the very vague instructions ,step by step and my hair turned to be darker and blacker than what it was originally. I am so disappointed .. it did not condition or soften my hair, au contraire, it turned so crose and dry. I even have small sticks in my hair, henna wont get off my hair . Yup my raiting is 1/5 just giving points for the fast shipping.
First experience with henna, love that there is no chemical odour, I can use a small amount for lowlights, and save to reuse later. Will never use chemicals again, this is safer and works.
I just love the way henna makes your hair come to life and shine.
the color changes all the time as it is more of a stain.
super messy to put on, with a fantastic result
Love this product, makes my hair shinny and pretty! Not a real change in color, thougt.
I love this product---it just wears out as time goes by. Mine lasts about 3 months to cover up some grey.
Horrible product. Didn't do anything to my hair even though I followed the instructions to a T! I left my hair felling like hay and smelling like dirt! Will never recommend or use ever again! If I could give a zero rating I would!
I used the Gold Apricot on my very light strawberry blonde hair, which has become more blonde than strawberry every year. It was nice to have a bit more of a reddish tinge come back to my hair, only very slightly darker, which was just what I wanted. My hair is also a lot softer and shinier and doesn't seem to get as greasy. My hair is very very flat and straight and still is after using this, but it does have a slight bit more body to it and doesn't stick to my head as much.
I got the Sunset shade and it worked fantastic, I much prefer this brand to Lush henna -- not only does it use better (organic) ingredients, but it makes your hair feel less heavy and is far more affordable.
Great for body and shine, but does not cover greys. The smell is a little overwhelming too. It reminds me of ashtrays. Yuck.
It is a good product for someone looking for a subtle change in colour.
I used the Sunset Red colour on my medium brown hair and it came out a beautiful dark auburn. I mixed the powder 24 hours in advance with orange juice and a little apple cider vinegar and kept it at room temperature. I found these directions on a henna website. I left the henna mixture on my hair for 2.5 hours. I wrapped my hair in a plastic bag during this wait. It is messy and a little smelly but the results are beautiful! I will buy this product again.
