Pure Anada mascara is formulated to be PH balanced for eyes. The PH of skin and hair is 4.5-5.5. Eyes have a PH of 7. If a mascara is not properly PH balanced it will burn and sting your eyes. And yes, Pure Anada mascara is also vegan.
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Oryza Sativa Wax (Rice Bran Wax), Olea Europea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Coernica Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Vegetable Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Acacia Gum, CI 77499 (Iron Oxide), Aminomethyl Popandiol, Phenoxyethanol
How to use: Apply to the eyelashes by starting as close to the eye as possible and gently pulling through the lashes. Allow to dry and apply another coat if desired. Pure Anada Mascara is great for layering!
New Packaging: Pure Anada is so excited to be offering several of their products in beautifully designed custom, recyclable boxes! Why the change? The goal for their brand was to create a product with minimal excess packaging. Hence, the reason they never had boxes in the past. However, they realized that by the time they apply a plastic shrink wrap and label, they are creating more waste than a streamlined, cardboard box that is recyclable.

I like that this is a Canadian-made product and I like the ingredients. This is a very wet mascara, which I don't necessarily dislike. I like that it's a very dark black and it covers well with good length. However, I find that I do have to be quite careful in applying it, otherwise I end up with clumps. Once it clumps, it's difficult to brush out with another coat. It can also transfer on your eyelids/brow bone.
