So I'm following up. I posted months back about my initial use of bio-oil. Since then, I've found that it works good to help heal fresh scrapes, scars, etc. I didn't notice a dramatic difference on my old scar or my old stretch marks. I had to stop using this on my dry skin on my face as well and the product made my dry skin too oily and caused breakouts and clogged pores. Overall I would say there is some benefit to this for moisturizing your skin, but don't over do it!

It didn't do anything for my skin after weeks of regular use. I found that it didn't absorb very well and left my skin slippery and oily. I prefer Lustre Cream in 4% for my acne scars over Bio Oil.

This is great stuff! After 2 weeks I, saw the freckles on my face start to lighten up. My face had a better complexion as well. So surprising coz I have combination skin and it actually makes my face less oily in my t zone.

If you're looking for scar fading, it only works with fresh scars. This is a good moisturizer for dry skin as well. You don't have to use much per application. I think the secret behind the product is mineral oil!

So far so good. Been using this product for a couple of weeks. Mainly on my dehydrated skin and some scars on my daughter's legs. My skin stays hydrated and a see a little difference in her scars. Ordered another bottle. Will continue to use it.

I have only started using it a couple weeks ago and don't use it as regularly as it tells you to but I am noticing a difference on my surgery scars. They do seem less visible. I found the scent to be light and pleasant, maybe it's one of those love it or hate it things. I am looking forward to seeing further results.

I like bio-oil, but I don't love it. I bought it to use during my pregnancy, and while it does seem to keep the stretch marks away, I find the smell off-putting and it has a tendency to stain clothing. It is also expensive for the small amount that you get. I switched to using all-natural coconut oil and have had a more positive experience with this.

This product works really well especially for scars. I had major surgery on my leg in March of this year and now 6 months later, the 7" scar is almost invisible - it does what it advertises.

I have been using Bio Oil for around three weeks on back for acne scars.
Pros: Works in reducing swelling and redness
Diminished active acne.
Cons: Oily
Small amount.
Takes a long time to notice improvement in skin.

I was using it on my face, but it made me break out in a big way. I don't normally break out, so it caught me by surprise, but reading the small print, it does not say that it is non-comedogenic, so chances are it will clog your pores. That said, I am sure it would be great for scars & I'm keeping it on hand just in case I'll need it at some point.

Used this while I was pregnant and never got a stretchmark until I got to the hospital and realized I had forgotten it. Got stretchmarks within two days of not using it. When using it for pregnancy don't miss a day and keep using it a few months after.

I am 34 years old with red hair and very white skin! I really thought what a scam but I doubled my weight while pregnant and then had a breast lift 3 years later. When I had my lift I was informed that I would have a dark purple and/or red scar that may never go away around the nipple and then a long scar from the nipple down under the breast (an upside down exclamation point with a big circle instead of a dot!). My operation was 3 years ago and I still had purple/red scar. Because this was so inexpensive I thought I would give it a try. WOW WOW WOW WOW. What can I say. The scars around my nipple are almost white after 2 weeks and the purple is going fast. The scars from my weight gain are now white instead of purple. Good snake oil I tell ya. I am usually not a believer but this really works. I have purchased 3 big bottles not to share with others.

I am 29 weeks pregnant. I started using this stuff about two months ago almost daily. I dont have a single stretch mark (yet). My doctor commented on this and ask me what I had been using. I said why "BioOil" of course. I know genetics is a factor but using this stuff cant hurt. A must purchase when pregnant.

I had to admit I was skeptic. I bought this product because I had burned the top of my hand on the inside of the oven, and I have a scar and some stretch marks in other areas.
To my surprise when I opened up the info booklet it mentioned for use on the face for dry skin as well (something I've spent lots of $ on). I used just a little on my face and felt the difference immediately!
I noticed a difference in how my skin feels for the areas I applied it to. I've only used this for a couple of days so I don't have more results to report. I'll wait a bit and post a followup.

I noticed a difference on the scars on my hands but I can't really say whether or not it works on acne. I don't really like putting it on my face as its really almost runny and greasy..but body scars it works well.

it's awesome, I've only been using it for about 3 weeks for a few things:
- face, acne scarring has noticeably receded, overall colour is evening and skin is smoother
- stretch marks, visibly smoother and less prominent already
- areas that experienced loss of pigment from tinea versicolor pigment is returning ~ yey!
I love this product, it's replaced my face moisturizer.
It's not oily once absorbed by the skin. I would recommend it to everyone

I didnt really think anything could get rid of the scar above my eye ... I had rounded a corner n split open the skin just above the lid area ....after using bio oil for less than 2 weeks I have noticed it slowly but surely disappearing . I am so glad I tried this product ......

I've been using it for about 2 months now, and I have found a noticeable difference. Not a dramatic difference but my burn scars are definitely less noticeable. I haven't been religiously using it either, I have skipped a day now and then. I guess the results would probably be better if I was more assiduous. You need to be patient of course the results are not immediate.

Six months I ago, I accidentally knocked down a pot of boiling water in my kitchen and scalded my hand. Initially, I have heard that Bio-Oil is good for stretch marks and later learned that it also works on scars and wrinkles. Since the accident left a really large and unsightly scar on my right hand, I got myself a bottle.
I've been using it for three days now and it gives me hope that my scar will eventually fade. So far I haven't seen any changes but it does keep my hands soft and moist all day long. So it's really a great for dry skin.
Based on what I've read on other sites, you must discipline yourself and apply the oil twice a day for a min. of 3 months to see any result. I hope I can see mine really soon.
