Nothing special
I received this product complementary from Nivea and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This product is very thick and feels almost slimy on my lips.. not my favourite feeling! It is pretty much the most basic lip balm in nearly every way, if that is all you are looking for then this might be great but it does not provide long lasting moisture and would need to be reapplied often.

My Fav Drugstore Lip Balm
I have been using the essential Nivea lip balm in the blue tube for over 10 years and there is nothing else like it! It's not goopy and you can feel how nourishing it is within seconds of applying it. My favourite way of using it is like an overnight lip mask. If you have cracked, peeling, dry lips just put on a thick layer at night and wake up to petal-soft lips in the morning! It's magic!

Ok product
I got this for free from influenster and Nivea in exchange for my honest review.
The lip balm is not really for me. I usually use my lip balm about 3 -4 times a days because I like my lip to stay moisturized . With the lip balm, I need to use it a lot more often in order to stay moisturizer. When you first put it on, it feels nice. But it definitely didn’t last long at all.

Formula has changed for the worse
I have been a frequent user of this balm back when it was Labello. I am very disappointed that Nivea has changed the formula. The new formula is waxy and feels greasy and heavy on my lips--it provides no moisture and has to be applied frequently. I bought two packs and will just donate them and look for something else.

Very bad
I do not like the new improved formula. I've been using Nivea essential 12 hr (the old formula) for years. It was absolutely amazing until recently they changed it to the 24 hr "new improved" and I am so disappointed. The new 24 hr is so thick it's like a glue stick. It does not slide smoothly on my lips at all. I am so upset. I will no be using Nivea anymore. Why would you change an amazing product to not improve it but make it worse. Lip care should be smooth and easy to slide on ur lips. Its way to thick i had to add vasiline just to get it to slide on my lips. Also it is so thick is starts to cake and harden . I don't know why Nivea would ruin the product like this . I also can provide pictures of how it hardens and clumps up. Its so thick I cant even rub my lips together. Please change it back to the old 12 hr formula. Lip care should slide on smooth. Please change this product. From a long time loyal customer that is very disappointed.

Just okay
It does it’s job, nothing special. It does feel heavy and waxy on my lips and compared to others is not overly moisturizing. I think there are better ones out there but there is nothing “bad” about this product., not sure why it has 1 star.Would be nice to have an added SPF or something to make it more appealing.

Bring back the old formulas
I have been a long time user of Nivea lip balms and this is the second time I've had to complain. First you changed the formula of the pale blue and now the essentials 24 hour. Why change something that people love to something people despise. Apparently I'm not the only one. Sorry Nivea you've lost a customer.

Easy, every day lip balm!
The application of this lip balm is great, smooth, light scent, and does the job - however like many others I felt like I had to reapply pretty frequently for my lips to really feel moisturized for an extended period of time. All in all it does what it needs to do but you will have to continually reapply!

A great staple!
I received Nivea’s Essential Lip Balm, complimentary from Influenster. I’ve been using it daily for the past few weeks and have been pretty pleased. It’s easy to use, and glides on smooth. I’ve popped it in my purse, as I prefer to use it during the day when I’m on the go. It’s a great staple product.

Hate New Formula
I have used this product for many many years back when it was Labello. I stopped using it when I could no longer find any of the original formula, hate the waxy feel, smell is disgusting, had to throw it out. I feel very let down by Nivea. At least keep the original so people can have a choice.

Smooth Kissable Lips
During the pandemic being inside all the time has taken a toll on my lips. The Nivea Essential Lip care has been a lifesaver. Not only does the formula help my lips feel soft and hydrated but it has provided me with a great product that can last through the night. Absolutely love this lip balm.

New formula is horrible
Please bring back the original formula. This new one burns my lips and makes them feel waxy. I’ve been using this product for as long as I can remember...back when it was Labello. I’ve had to adjust a few times already and this one finally worked. Please just give us the option to buy it.

I received this in a voxbox influenster nivea campaign iam not really sure why this has bad reviews its a great stable to have in your purse and on the go Its super awsome to keep your lips hydrated and smooth through the day its not greasy at all and doesnt have a smell. Love this stuff

Not just for lips!
This is an excellent lip balm and dry skin rescue. I keep a tube for my lips and another for dry cuticle and fingertips! It works so well at keeping my fingertips moisturized during dry, cold weathers. And there’s no worries about leaky containers or tubes when I take these on flights!!

new formula is horrible
tried the new formula while back and there's no moisture whatsoever. Not to mention it leaves my lips sore. I managed to find some old formula ones online and my lips finally feel good again. If this company does not bring back the old formula, i will take my money elsewhere.

BRING BACK OLD FORMULA
Hello there, I have been using this product for years with great results. It was a rich creamy texture, lasts for hours and was easily applied. The new formula is dry, waxy and hard to apply, make my lips fell dry and sticky. Wish you didn't change the formula.

Received this product from influenster. Not sure why the reviews are so horrible as I love this product. It is rich and thick and works well on my super chapped lips. Other brand I find burn or make my lips more chapped but not this. My husband is hooked as well.

Good lip balm without the grease !

Awful!
What happened to the formula? I recently purchased and was disappointed with the change. It is too waxy, greasy, heavy and provides no moisture! Go back to the Labello formula please--that was the best.

Moisturizing lip chap

Always like this brand
I've always used this brand of lip balm. I feeling it's one of the best to actually stay on your lips after applied even after you eat. It's not oily and it's just a natural flavor.
