UVA Factor?
I really like this moisturizer. It feels quite sunscreen-y when first applied but I found it absorbed nicely and didn’t leave a white caste. I didn’t have a problem with the product pilling. However, I have lately been educated regarding UVA factor in sunscreens. The SPF only refers to UVB. A sunscreen can can SPF of 60 and might have UVA rating of 5 because there isn’t a minimum required in North America. Health Canada accepts the symbol of UVA in a circle that guarantees that the UVA is a minimum of the SPF rating, which is a standard minimum in Europe. That means with a product with SPF of 60 you will be guaranteed that it has a minimum UVA of 20. CereVe has not adopted this system so I am wondering what the UVA factor is?

Goopy but wait…. A winner!!!
I bought this as an alternative to sunblock, my everyday moisturizer pre-makeup is Cetaphil and has been for two decades. I go to put it on and it’s thick, smells like sunblock and feels uncomfortable to rub on. Ok, I guess I was expecting miracles but then…. It’s fine! One you rub it all in, it does eventually dry (5 min perhaps, no need to pause to apply makeup) and the smell is gone! There is zero shine, dry to the touch and perfect for sensitive sunblock hating skin like mine. Added plus, use it on your neck and chest around the collar of your golf or t-shirt for the same eventually dry effect with added bonus, doesn’t streak your clothes white!!!

Cheap remake
I've been using this daily for about three years now, and the recent reformulation has made the biggest drawback, its texture, worse. It still has the same thick creamy texture that turns into grey sludge if layered over anything, but now it pills too. Be prepared for grey lines in neck creases. On top of that, the selling feature for me, its ceramides, are now DEAD LAST. I'm not a chemist/biologist so I can't say if this formula is more effective, but I hope that they make a better formulation that addresses these concerns.

Wanted to love it...
I love Cerave products. I have rosacea and it's great to be able to get quality products at a reasonable price with ingredients to help repair the skin barrier but minus irritating ingredients like fragrance. I wanted to love your AM moisturizer with sunscreen, but it pills up badly. Trying to put any foundation over top is a losing battle. I was really sorry I couldn't make this product work for me.

Terrible! Pills and flakes off like CRAZY
I usually love cerave products, but this is one of the worst sunscreens I have ever used. It pills up immediately and it feels like you're just rubbing it off as your applying it... very disappointed. This photo is after exfoliating so this is not just dry skin - it's the product pilling immediately after applying. DO NOT BUY. Wish I could get my money back.

Pills very easily
I just bought this lotion yesterday hoping that it would help my dry skin in addition to the sun protection but I was really disappointed. When I put it on, it didn't absorb easily and left a white cast on my face. It didn't matter if I rubbed it in, patted, or put it on freshly cleaned skin; it would still pill.

Did the formula change?
I have used this product for several years. Recently, I purchased a new bottle, and have experienced a ton of product pilling when I apply it to my face. The pilling is even worse if applied over facial hair. I have a mustache/beard trimmed very short (3mm) and it is impossible to apply this product to the skin underneath, as it makes my beard look like it is full of dandruff! I have very oily skin (particularly in my t-zone area) and have always preferred this product because it really reduces my oiliness throughout the day, but I am going to explore alternatives, as the pilling has become too much of a nuisance. I typically apply a niacinamide serum beforehand but have tried skipping the serum, applying the cerave moisturizer underneath before this product, and many other things with minimal reduction in pilling. It is disappointing because I otherwise would highly recommend this product!

I do not recommend
I bought this product 2 days ago. At the end of the first day I started to have a slight itching on my face. The second day, the itching got worse on my neck and on my face and I had lots of small red pimples. My face has swollen as well as my neck.
Also it leave a white cast on dark skin
