Very disappointed
Against my best judgement I decided to buy this when I could no longer find the original balm in Canada. I should have known better. It irritated my skin and eyes, it does not remove the makeup as well the the original version, and it made my skin even more dry than it is. Why get rid of the original? If it ain't broke, don't fix it! You could have offered both version if you felt there was a need for a "detoxifying" product, Clinique. However, I will look at the bright side: am now saving my money because I purchased the Geek&Gorgeous melting balm that is divine and at a fraction of the Take the Day Off balm.

Bring back the original please!
Bought this assuming it would work like the original take the day off balm which has always done wonders removing my eye makeup with zero irritation. This is a totally different product and does not work the same. From what I've read in other reviews the original is still going to be available but has been out of stock for months. Not sure what to order in the meantime for eye makeup removing. I've tried the mouse and it irritated my eyes as well. Pretty disappointed

Not Happy!
I have to agree with the other comments here - I came to buy the full size original Take Off the Day Balm and ended up with this. I tried it for the first time last night and am not at all happy. This version does not have the same silky smooth melting effect of the original - and the colour is strange and messy. Not even close to what I was expecting. I used to look forward to using this product each night, not now unfortunately. It works as it should, but not a pleasant experience at all.

Sucks
Why would you stop making the original take the day off cleansing balm and replace it with this? My skin is dehydrated and this aweful product dried my skin even more than it was. I was using the original since it came out years and years and I'm totally upset that it is no longer available in Canada.

Not the Same
The original clear balm was my holy grail but this charcoal one is not very good. First off, its messy cause the charcoal and being that its black, I cant see if its removing my eye makeup or not. I also find it doesnt melt as well as the clear one. Unfortunately I wont be buying this is will have to go find a new product.

Its good.
Ive now been using this product for a couple months, and it does a good job. I was very disappointed when I found out the original product was no longer available. I wish you had kept the original and given customers the choice.

New formula
I use to LOVE this product before they change it. First of all, the new formula is black, which mean, you dont see if you properly took off your mascara or eyeshadow. Also, when I wash my face in the sink, some water splash around. When the droplet dry, it leave a black stain on the sink. Finally, it might only be me, but my face react a lot worst to this new formula. I have small bumps on my face after using it.

Bring back the original!
The original was much gentler and best for all skin types. The charcoal version is harsher and drying. There should really be 2 balms to choose from not just this one. So disappointed that such a great product was discontinued.
