I am totally sold on boar's hair brushes now. My hair looks much cleaner between washes because the brush pulls out dust and debris that gets picked up in my non-office work. I brush morning and evening because it's effective and feels good. Boar's hair brushes help distribute natural hair oils, but I find that my hair is static-y while brushing until the oils get distributed days after washing. I don't put products in my hair other than olive oil, so I don't need to wash my hair every day. If you do, I'm not positive you would see the full benefits of this brush. There's a small crack on the wooden handle of the one I received, but it doesn't appear to affect it's integrity or durability. I appreciate the look, feel and eventual biodegradability of the wood. I'm still trying to figure out how to effectively clean the brush. For now, I'm just rubbing the bristles with a wet cloth as I'm afraid water would get inside the cushion if I washed it under water.
