Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad reaction I’ve been using the other Hydro Boost products for quite awhile with no issues. I decided to try out the night pressed serum. It was awful! When I first put it on my skin felt a bit warm but it went away within a minute so I thought nothing of it. When I woke up in the morning the skin under my eyes was majorly swollen! My whole face was red and itchy. So, so itchy. I was able to get the swelling down with a cold compress on my face but the dry, itchy skin remains. My chin and the area above my lip are the worst and have now also had a major acne breakout.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chemical reaction Wife bought this and used it the same night. She has beautiful skin. When she woke up the next morning, she was in so much pain on her face. Around her eyes and top of cheeks were red, burning, itching and she said it felt as if she had a fever with hot flashes. I took photos and also when she woke up today and she still has redness. Her skin looks bad. She has never had a bad reaction to other products. If issue persists, we will be going to the doctor. There should have been a warning that it may cause reaction. She should not look like this. Do not recommend.

It has a thick consistency which reminds me of a creamy jello. It seems to melt into your skin when applied and doesn't leave any sticky or greasy residue behind. My skin felt incredibly soft even after first use and each morning my skin wakes up beautifully hydrated. I personally enjoy the clean refreshing scent of this product, but if you have sensitivities to fragrance this may not be the right product for you. This unique product works as a serum and a moisturizer in one so it helps simplify my nightly skincare routine.

I have to say I did not have high expectations but I was proven wrong!! I always struggle to find a moisturizer that helps my skin survive the Canadian winters. This cream is so hydrating without being slippery and greasy. Its a hard balance to find the right product for your own skin in that way. I would even say you could use this as a treatment or mask. I use it at night after cleansing and applying my serum. It feels just wonderful on. Definitely worth a try if you need that moisture boost!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from interesting concept, luxurious, clean feel (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) i had never tried a pressed serum before and love how neutrogena executed this new concept. there is a light fragrance but its not too overpowering and smells clean and fresh which is a nice contrast with the richness of the product. i applied a generous amount after the regular HA serum, almost as a night cream, and it left a nice glow. by the next morning it looked as if the moisture had been fully absorbed. if your skin is on the drier side i would recommend using a heavier night cream and/or face oil on top of this product. overall a very good, moisturizing, luxe-feeling face product.

The second thing would be fragrance, I'm not sensitive to any fragrance, in fact I like it. But this one has that typical Neutrogena hydro boost smell like the others in the same line. It stays with you for at least half an hour, which makes me really annoyed given it's night serum. However, it does moisturizes my skin, gives the dewy glow without giving my combination skin any breakouts or feeling oily. It sinks into the skin very soon. Except fragrance and tub, everything is what they claims.

Especially for an overnight application, the scent lingers strongly and is not pleasant to sleep with on. It is a floral scent, but reminds me of old school pot pourri, rose or peony maybe? Either way the scent is not for me. The cream itself has a look and texture of softened coconut oil. It is smooth and pleasant to apply on the face. After putting it on, there's a slight tacky/dewy feeling. Waking up my face does feel quite soft and smooth so I think the moisturizing effect is great considering I have dry skin. It does not break me out which is a bonus!

I was surprised that this "pressed serum" looked more like stiff jelly, but it does moisturise the skin effectively. Unfortunately, I personally found that the scent --while initially pleasant--quickly devolved into a very perfume-y aroma that I did not quite care for, so passed this on to hubby for him to try and review. He has two very dry spots by either nostril, and found after only one nighttime application that they cleared right up. He's been using this product on and off every other evening now, and says he definitely would recommend and that it works. Thanks, Neutrogena!
