Description

Philips AVENT Natural 8oz Glass Bottle is the most natural way to bottle feed. The wide breast-shaped nipple on the Natural bottle promotes natural latch-on so you can easily combine breastfeeding and bottle feeding. The ultra soft nipple mimics the feel of the breast. Our flexible spiral design combined with the comfort petals allow for a natural movement while baby feeds. The bottles have unique Airflex vent technology integrated into the nipple and are designed to reduce colic and discomfort by venting air away from your baby's tummy. The ergonomic shape makes it comfortable for parents to hold and easy for small fingers to grasp. Assembly is simple with only a few parts and the wide bottle neck makes filling and cleaning easy. This Natural Philips Avent bottle is made of premium quality borosilicate glass, a BPA free material. It is heat and thermal shock resistant, so it can be safely stored in the fridge, warmed and is easy to wash and sterilize. Works with all nipples and caps from the Natural line.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy I started out really liking these bottles. Found them very easy to clean and they seemed sturdy. However, one of them broke early on while washing it in warm water in the sink. Ok, I thought, maybe this one had a defect. Fast forward a couple of months and the threads on plastic rings that screws on to the bottle started slipping and not screwing on to the bottle properly resulting in leaks everywhere. I continued using them being very careful to always have a plastic bib on hand in case of leaks. Then a few weeks ago another bottle broke while washing it in the sink. This last week, 2 more bottles broke while warming up milk in the bottle warmer. I've only been using these bottles for a few months and 4/5 broke for no reason! Bottom line, these bottles should be discontinued as the quality is unacceptable and they pose a safety hazard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love them, until one shattered in hot water I have been using these bottles for a few months and didn't have an issue. However, today I was warming a bottle of milk and I heard a "pop" and when I picked up the bottle the glass had completely broken in half. So I had half the bottle in my hand and the bottom half was still in the warmer. The worst part is that I lost 6 oz of pumped breast milk!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The bottom of the bottle broke I absolutely love the idea of using glass bottles for my daughter. After reviewing several products I chose to go with Philips Avent Natural Glass Bottles. My daughter is breastfed and only gets a bottle once a day. After about 7 uses one of the bottles I purchased broke while my parents were babysitting. The glass was sterilized in the morning using boiling water. I then let it cool enough to touch and placed the bottle with my breastmilk in the fridge. My parents were watching her for the night and when my daughter was ready to be fed, they took the bottle out of the fridge and placed it in warm water (they know not to use hot water as you do not want to overheat the milk). When they thought it was warm enough they pulled the bottle out of the water and breastmilk spilled all over the counter because the bottom of the bottle broke right off! I'm disappointed in the product as the bottle is supposed to be thermal resistant. It's not as though the bottle was placed into boiling water, it was warm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst bottle These are worst bottles, after following rather specific instructions these bottles don't vent properly and after one month of use they leak. Do not buy these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from These bottles are very leaky I purchased these glass bottles after being satisfied with the plastic 4 oz. Avent bottles. Also, a friend mentioned she chose them to feel good about not exposing her baby to extra plastic. Already feeling bad about having to give up breastfeeding and forgetting plastic is safer these days, this logic appealed to me in my sleep-deprived, stressed out state. To their credit, my baby managed the nipple well, these bottles are easy to clean, and after a month of continual use, they still look as good as the day they arrived. Unfortunately, they frequently leak. I've been using them for more than a month and have yet to master finding the "sweet spot" when tightening the cap. This is particularly the case when half-asleep and/or baby is fussing in my arms. When the cap is not in just the right spot (neither too loose nor too tight), the result after shaking the bottle is often spilled formula all over the counter, floor, me, and of course, the baby, who gets messy enough without the added nuisance of these bottles. I continue to use the small plastic bottles when we're away from home and they never leak. I really wish I hadn't bought the glass ones.
