Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way to Phillips!!!!! I love this product. Firstly never even knew these existed, until googling it because a friend had one. So I had to buy one. Best purchase I've ever made!!! I have a serious time waking up, and this product really works!!!! I actually wake up calmly and in a way better mood, then a jarring blaring alarm sound. If the light doesn't wake you up immediately, the wonderful nature sounds do... It truly is a fantastic product. The lighting is adjustable. It's very functional and easy to use. If you have problems waking up or alarm clocks simply make you moody, then I 100% suggest this for you. You won't be disappointed!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Last hope Before I purchased, I was having so much trouble waking up without hitting snooze more than 5 times and had tried having more than one alarm (device). After using it for only one week, I'm only hitting snooze once then up and moving.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent concept, few improvements needed Excellent concept especially for the winter months. I wish there was a way to set the alarm only for weekdays, I have to remember to turn off the alarm on Friday and then turn it back on a Sunday. I also wished there was an auto shut off feature, I'd like to continue to listen to the radio as I get ready, and then have it shut off after a particular time frame. These aren't new concepts as my 15 year old clock radio had these handy features.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A design to please the eye and the designer Philips' Wake-up light is a beautifully designed product that needs some rethinking. While I do appreciate the mostly affordable price for a light alarm-clock and minimalist look of the object, after a few months of use, I noticed a few downpoints that should come to any potential buyer's attention. Waking up - The light - I love the double utility of the object, as it saves space on my nightstand and provides an adjustable reading light. It will start to shine 30 minutes before the set time of the alarm and reach it's maximum brightness in due time. I wish I would be able to set the start time of the gradual lighting. - The clock display - While I appreciate the 4 choices of brightness display so you can choose to put forward either the light or the alarm clock in the overall design of a room, the centered position of the time in the led light makes it incredibly hard to read. I am nearsighted and if the light is on, I have to turn it off if I want to know what hour it is or put the light at 3 inches of my face so I can see if I should snooze or not. - The controls - The controls on the front are all touch sensitive, most displayed around the led-clock and two pressure buttons at the back for clock brightness and time setting. You can choose to display either in 24 or 12 hours system, real convenient. All controls are illustrated with icons easy to understand. At first, I was pleasantly surprised of the touch sensitive controls lighting up as I brush the surface of the clock it quickly became a drag to the usability of the clock. The controls has to be lit up if you want to use them, so you always have to "double click" if you want to use most functions. Beautiful, yes, practical, ish. The snooze button is the biggest downpoint in the controls. To snooze, simply tap the top of the lock. As there is no designated area where the tap will be effective, I find myself tapping several times in a distressing situation where I am blinded by the light shining straight to my face, trying desperately to stop the tweedle-birds from singing increasingly louder so it doesn't wake up my roommates. After months of use, the snooze button is hard to locate. Also, the sleek design of the clock became my morning nemesis. As I am trying to snooze -softly and patiently-, the really unstable stand of the clock just waddle from side to side to back and down the nightstand. It is 6 AM, no glasses on, so much light, so much birds (when it is not the cuckoo in the wild forest), what time is it, a lot of failed attempts to snooze, oh no, my precious clock took a dive, here is the natural way to wake up and feel more refreshed. This clock needs a snooze button expert to use. - Sounds - Chirping birds, cuckoo in a forest or radio. My favourite is the bird sound. Now, every time I hear a bird chant, I look for the snooze button. - Would I recommend it - No. Why? As I use this clock, I find that it is not suited for anyone. As I am light and sound sensitive in the morning, I would wake up to anything. For heavy sleepers, they will simply cover their heads when the light is shining and not even hear the sounds after several minutes. It is something to try if you are tired of the regular alarm clock and willing to pay a little extra for a wake up light, but are not yet committed to throw in the bucks for a light therapy model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Wake Up Clock Ever This product has allowed me to wake up gradually, the sound is authentic. I would recommend this product. However, I could find a way to register product easily and no where to contact via email. Too complicated to register warranty
