The innovative sensor pump technology automatically dispenses a fixed amount of liquid soap - not too much, not too little - helping reduce waste and saving you money on supply costs. Otto's new 8.5oz (255ml) capacity can be filled with dish soap, liquid hand soap, or hand sanitizer. The fluid level indicator window lets you see when it's time to refill and the large, top-load refill opening makes topping it up quick and easy. .

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: After inserting the batteries, if the blue light
comes on and you hear the motor but the soap doesn't dispense, try
pouring the soap into a separate container, then fill the pump with hot
water (not boiling) and let sit for 5-10 minutes until cool. Put your
hand in front of the motion sensor and repeat until the water starts to
flow well. Now empty the water and refill the pump with soap. If you
find the brand of soap you have purchased is too thick, try adding some
water to thin it out. Otto Automatic Soap Pump is not recommended for
use with foaming hand soaps.

Literally DOES NOT WORK
I bought two of these a week ago. First, the screw on the bottom comes screwed in wayyy too tight. Near impossible to open without wearing your screw or screwdriver down. Once we were over that hassle, this dispenser refuses to work. The first unit worked a few times (dispensing the tiniest amount of soap, but maybe you appreciate the novelty??) and then stopped. We’ve tried everything from changing batteries to thinning out the soap, to adding warm water. Nothing. Legit refuses to budge lol. The second unit has not even worked once. I don’t have my receipt otherwise I would return this ASAP. Would not recommend regardless of how good it looks.

Otto was a bit of a disappointment
I was a little disappointed in the Otto Automatic Soap Dispenser when it arrived. It is not as attractive in person as it is in photographs. The outer shell is certainly not nickel - it is plastic colored a questionable shade of "nickel".
The unit is also just a little bit too large - but I can live with that.
Lastly, what is missing, is some control over the amount dispensed. I find I have to put my hand below the nozzle and move my hand away 3 times to get enough soap to properly wash my hands. A three-way switch with "single", "double", "triple" would do the trick.

Only worked intermittently and then it quit
I bought this 3 weeks ago and at first it worked well. Then it only dispensed soap sometimes and now it won't work at all. I am extremely disappointed because it was very expensive. My husband is an engineer and even he can't fix it - he says the pump is faulty.

WORST Automatic Soap Ive ever had.
Hi I bought this several weeks ago (2022) and it does not work! It did for the first couple of times, but not now. I followed the instructions, kept the nozzle clean and still it does not work.
I put fresh batteries in, still nothing. I even put warm water in it to see if it would work and after putting my hand under the sensor over 35 times, it still would not work?????
I want to return it, but I cannot locate my receipt to do this. I Definitely Would NOT purchase this product. If you are the few lucky ones that it works for you, fantastic, but trying to get it to work placing your hand under the sensor to pump it, is totally futile.

Works but could be improved
The look is sleek and it does what it is supposed to do. However, a few features could be improved to make it more convenient. It dispenses a TINY amount of soap, such that I have to make it dispense 3-4 times to get enough soap on my brush to do dishes. It dispenses better on contrasting colours, so there are items it won't respond to (e.g. it won't squirt into a pot). Also, to change the battery, you have to use a tiny screwdriver to open that compartment. I have an automatic foaming hand soap dispenser from another brand that doesn't have any of these issues, so I know this is a matter of design, not feasibility.

Chic dispenser with great features
Nothing gets you excited to practice good hygiene like a modern design. I really love how chic and polished it looks. It’s quite big too in size which might be challenging when it comes to placement and styling. I personally like its size which helps me limit the frequency of refilling as I see this dispenser is constantly in use and by everyone in my home, especially with the year we are having. I would happily get more for my bathroom and entrance.

Perfect for Soap & Sanitizer!
This truly makes washing and sanitizing your hands so much more fun! It dispenses just the right amount of soap/sanitizer, which is great if you have kids and tired of the mess and excess of product being used. But what I truly love about this is that it's cordless and I can take this with me on the go as a freelance makeup artist. What a fun way to stay safe and protected and not have to worry about touching any surfaces that collect bacteria/germs. It's sleek and modern, has a great selection of colors so you can't go wrong with this!

working well
We've used this for a few weeks and it is working well, filled with blue Dawn dish soap. Puts out the right amount of soap for handwashing.
