I'm a clean person, but this smell is awful
We have multiple yeti products! We love them, beer cozy, coffee mugs, ramblers in multiple sizes. I have the Rambler with the chug cap and I can't stand to use it because the smell of the cap turns me off and makes me sick. Like the other reviews say: great idea, terrible product due to the smell. I've soaked in vinegar, put through the dishwasher. nothing can take that smell away. such a disappointment from such a high quality company. Yeti, do better

Threads broke and my bottle dented!!
I was SO excited to get my Yet Rambler 1L bottle - I carry a water bottle with me EVERYWHERE I go. My boyfriend surprised me in April of this year (9months ago) with this bottle and I babied it! I took it with me literally EVERYWHERE I went. I was SO SAD today when I put the lid back on after filling it - the threads were completely stripped like other reviewers have said. It just spun! I went back to work; and out of habit - grabbed the bottle by the handle lid, the threads completely broke. Full bottle of water fell to the cement floor and I’m left with a huge dent in the side of my expensive water bottle! Such a bummer. It’s so expensive, you expect better quality construction. Clearly this is an ongoing issue based on the previous reviews. Make the threads on the cap better! They’re soooo soft. And when the bottle is full of water, it’s heavy! Especially the 1L, I can’t imagine the bigger bottles! was great up until now.

Great until it broke
I've been using this product for almost a year and exclusively hand washing to preserve it best I can, but it no longer works. The lid of the bottle falls off and no longer seals. I wet the entire contents of my backpack and then kept dropping my bottle when we went for walks. I kept thinking that I didn't tighten enough, but like other comments I've seen, it looks like the threads in the cap have worn from use (I guess?).
I've had it long enough that I feel like it's worth trying again, but if the product has not been upgraded, I assume the same will happen in a matter of time. Fingers crossed!

Soft plastic, threads strip easily.
As with most reviews here, just tossing mine in to say the threads on this cap are horrible. The plastic for the base of the lid that threads on to the bottle itself is great, hard plastic, no chance of stripping the threads off. The top cap itself, not at all the same type of plastic. Is it a very, very soft plastic. Extremely susceptible to stripping it if you cross-thread it even the slightest bit.
Cross-threading a cap is going to happen, it isn't completely avoidable. A cap for a bottle should be resistant to this. A single use, recyclable water bottle has a better cap on it than this thing.
I've ruined the threads on my second cap at this point and am done with it. I've gone ahead and ordered some other style of lid they have that I didn't notice before, the magdock cap I think it's called. Hopefully the plastic on that cap is a bit better, if not, I'll be searching for another brand for my bottles I guess...

Great, loved it at first but leaks :(
i bought this cap about a year ago and at first i loved it. Super easy to drink from and to fill up. However, after only a few months of use, the cap started to leak. I think the top part doesn't seal adequatly. It doesn't leak from the bottle but from the cap itself, especially when not held straight. Any tips? Any product improvment over the last year? Thank you

I love this cap, I love the handle. The only thing is that it simply stinks. It smells like mildew or laundry you forgot in the wash... rinse it... wash it and dry it completely nothing gets rid of the smell :( I have read other reviews on google and other people have said the same.

Makes my rambler whole!!!
Have a 1L rambler bottle that I carry everywhere and this cap, with its handle, makes it super easy!!! Whether it's running to a meeting or running errands my hands are always full and I love love love the handle because I only need a fi ger or two for me to bring the bottle along with so many other things! And the spout it the perfect size! The lid screws o suler easy and no messing about trying to aling the treads. It is truly water tight - I throw my bottle at the bottom of my gym bad fully confident it's not going to leak. The only downside is the flip side of its success. It can be hard to unscrew. I'm a petite woman with small hands so it can be hard to open. But I've figured it out and I wouldn't trade it!!!
