There are few different type of snack bars depending on your activity level. Snack bars for athletes, such as Clif Bars, Vega Bars and LaraBars, should be high in carbohydrates and protein to help recover after excercise. Snack bars for regular people, such as the Simply Bar, should be low in sugar and high in protein to keep you full longer.
