Coffee tastes delicious and stays hot!
I was on the hunt for a coffee brewing option that 1) doesn't use paper (or disposable) filters and 2) hot water doesn't come into contact with plastic.
This is the closest thing I could find to meeting that criteria. The filter is stainless steel mesh and when you pour the water over the grinds it drips into the thermal base without touching any plastic (no leeching, yay!)
However, when you pour the coffee it does come into contact with a small ring of silicone. To meet my needs, I simply remove the glass spout and pour directly from the base.
The lid keeps coffee hot for a few hours!
The instructions say to weight the coffee grinds you use to brew - but just experiment with the number of scoops / water ratio until you find what you like just like you would with any new coffee maker. No weighing necessary. Not a big deal.
Really really love this! My partner loves it too. So glad this exists and that I was able to find it after months of searching for the "right" thing.

Makes a great cup of coffee and the best part is the coffee stays warm! We just used a coffee spoon to measure the coffee. Can't wait to use it on our sailboat where keeping the second cup warm was always a problem.

It says "helpful measuring tools". What it doesn't say is that you need a kitchen scale to make the coffee. I didn't use it and am returning it. I'm sure it makes a wonderful cup of coffee but so does my maker that I was hoping to get off my counter. I really don't need extra things on my counter to make coffee. Very disappointing that they would presume people have kitchen scales.

love the brew. and the look.
maybe a little less love for the 'thermos' design. having small hands makes it difficult to get a good grip without using 2 hands to pour (without the dripper or neck extension).
otherwise its just what i was looking for.

Keeps coffee hot all day. The metal filter is so fine you can choose not to use a coffee filter. Hoods about 3 cups.
