Great cleanser for sensitive skin

Another Winner From Aveeno!

I have been a fan of Aveeno for many years and have tried many of their products with great results so I was very excited to try this new Oat Cleanser for free for my honest review. I was pleasantly surprised with what was NOT in this cleanser: fragrance, phthalate, and sulfates. I was also intrigued with the oats that this cleanser is formulated with. Oats seems to be in everything these days so I was curious how this would work on skin. I have had acne-prone, oily skin for most of my life so cleansing is an important part of my daily routine. Since I wear heavy foundation almost every day, I need a cleanser that will not only easily remove my makeup, but not leave my skin stripped of moisture. This cleanser did a good job of cleansing my skin, but I found it did not lather enough to remove my makeup entirely on the first try; however, I did appreciate that the cleanser left my skin feeling soothed and moisturized (but not overly moisturized). This is not a SEXY cleanser full of fancy ingredients and heavy fragrance, but I did appreciate its no-nonsense approach to getting my skin feeling clean.

Super Sensitive

Also, I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks! I've tried washing my face with only water. It helps my sensitive skin, but not my T-zone. It's a constant battle trying to keep my whole face happy, especially in the winter months.
Aveeno Calm & Restore Nourishing Oat Cleanser helps me fight the battle. It's thick and comes out from the dispenser like a lotion. Then it scoots around my sensitive skin, removing my sunscreen, make up and oils. The rest is magic. It removes enough oil from my T-zone to keep it happy, and keeps the moisture in the rest of my dry face. And I haven't needed steroids to settle the rest of my face since I've started using it.
The Oat Cleanser has no artificial scent or color. It's free from parabens and alcohol and sulfates. And it comes in a 232 mL bottle, which means it will happily last for many months.
I really have to rave about this product. I wasn't expecting a facial cleanser that made my sensitive, combination skin look vibrant and well care for in just a few washes. I'd highly recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin!

My first impressions after looking at the product packaging were that I have definitely hit the jackpot with a product that is going to be calm, soothing, and healthy for my skin. From the addition of oats to the tan colour of the cleanser and finally to the shades of blue and brown packaging.
At first glance, I was a bit concerned about the thickness of the cleanser - it has a gel-like consistency. But then after using I realized it actually goes on lightly and smoothly and rinses off pretty easily. My skin felt cleansed without an overly dry feeling. It does not feel sticky, nor does it create foam or suds.
I love that it's free from parabens and sulfates - right up my alley in terms of natural products. I would recommend this cleanser for persons who are sensitive to fragrances, have sensitive skin, or just have a preference for fragrance-free skincare products - like my husband for instance. Given the gentle nature of the cleanser, it's also ideal for men, youth, and those who are conscious about what they apply to their skin.

First thoughts: I love that it has a pump so I don't need to open and close (and lose) the cap for the product. I also appreciate that it is fragrance free and dye free.
Putting the product on my face I can confirm that there was no fragrance and it went on feeling smooth and not heavy or sticky. As it is a cleanser not a face wash I should not have been surprised, but I was surprised that it did not lather. The package recommends a pump or two of product, so I started with just one pump. This quantity was plenty to cover and wash my face.
I smoothed the product on my face with my fingers but used a face cloth to take it off. My makeup residue came off easily with it, and almost immediately my forehead felt tight. My cheeks after washing felt very soft and my skin smooth and firmer. The sensation for me is different as I don't usually feel this aware of my face skin.
My skin does not feel too tight as it does with soap, and it does feel moisturized even though I have not applied additional moisturizers. It has been several hours since I tried this product and my skin still feels smooth to the touch and firm without being too tight. It is still an adjustment to be aware of the tightened condition of my skin with every movement of my face but it is not unpleasant.

Clean, Fresh, and Calm

From multiple types of lotion, I like the Creamy Oil for my everyday hand and body lotion, my hubby likes the Restorative cream for his hands, and youll find the original sensitive skin in the bathroom for after hand washing, and lets not forget my shaving cream! Never a far trip to find something Aveeno.
That being said I had actually never tried any of their facial skincare products, Im not sure why really, so needless to say when Butterly and Aveeno gifted me the new Aveeno Calm + Restore facial cleanser and refill pouch I was thrilled!
I absolutely love trying new skincare from all different price points and the Aveeno Calm + Restore did not disappoint. Featuring Aveenos signature oat complex alongside feverfew, this cleanser is gentle and effective.
The pump bottle makes distribution quick, easy, and mess free. The texture is that of a slightly thick gel moisturizer with an excellent slip. It glides along your skin with ease, effectively cleansing the grime of the day off the skin for a clean and refreshed feeling. It does not strip the skin, or leave it feeling tight at all, and there is no residue left over by the cleanser.
I have been using the cleanser since receiving it a couple of weeks ago and my skin has not negatively reacted to the switch at all, it feels soft to the touch, hydrated, and clean.
If you are looking for a gentle, yet effective cleanser you wont go wrong with the new Aveeno Calm + Restore facial cleanser.

Amazing natural moisturizer cleanser
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received this Aveeno Calm + Restore nourishing oat cleanser for a try out. It surprise me with a generous bottle and a pouch refill size. Personally, I cant tell by trying one week especially skin care product, therefore it took me three weeks to try out.
Previously, I was using one of the leading brand for many years, my face began to flare up since my last stock in. Right on time for me to try the new Aveeno calm and restore oat cleanser. Nothing to lose for me as it stated for sensitive skin, hypoallergenic, moisturizing, non-comedogenic, as well no fragrance added.
It is basically a non-foamy facial wash, color and feel like gel, feel weird while washing as I had never used one without the forming action. It is scentless, as my frustrated sensitive skin cant handle any fragrance.
A week after, didnt experience any extra dryness from the facial wash, feels a little gentle as my face was flare up pinkish, nourishing for my skin a bit, I even tried it on my upper body. Nothing trickle my skin.
Week 2, my face seems less irritated agitate from swollen, I repeat my regular routine of applying the Aveeno Restorative Skin Therapy Itch Relief Balm.
Week 3, I used it every day for three weeks, my face feels soft and moisturizing again.
For the packaging, the pump bottle is in a great size, handy for household use and travelling, as well environmentally friendly refill pouch is great, the little cap is being made for easy to refill. It is quite a trustworthy product, love this amazing natural moisturizer cleanser!

Seeing as I'm not getting any younger and my skin isn't magically rejuvenating, I jumped on the opportunity to try this Aveeno product for free through Butterly. My skin is typically combinaison (oily in T zone), but I get really dry in the winter. It can also be sensitive to some products (redness, rash, bumps, itching). This product is perfect for me (and affordable! and in pharmacies!). The Aveeno Calm + Restore Nourishing Oat Cleanser for Sensitive Skin is made without fragrances, sulfates, parabens, alcohol, and dyes, and has the seal from the Canadian Dermatology Association. The packaging claims it "[g]ently cleanses + hydrates to preserve skin's moisture barrier". In my experience, the lightweight gel/lotion-type texture was really easy to apply and rinse off, not sticky, didn't leave any residue behind, didn't cause any bad reaction, and left my skin fresh, soft, and soothed. After rinsing my face and patting it dry, I let my face air dry a bit more, and then apply my moisturizer. I think it's an excellent cleanser, but I don't think someone should use it and expect it to act as a moisturizer, it's a cleanser. But it's quite pleasant to leave your skin just as-is afterwards if you're in a rush or don't use moisturizers.
Aveeno also chose to create an awesome super easy to use refill pouch! It says it offers 80% savings in plastic! So you buy these 2 products and you have enough for 3 bottles' worth of cleanser, and reducing the amount of wasted plastic by 1.8 bottles.
Overall, I'm very happy to have had the chance to try this out and to share my experience with you.

Best as a light shower gel
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I tested out the cleansing efficacy with some basic products: sunscreen and foundation. To start, I applied on my hands a moderately-moisturizing mineral sunscreen for sensitive skin. Following Aveeno's instructions to use slightly warm water, I did two ample rounds of massaging in and rinsing the cleanser. Afterwards, my hands looked and felt like almost none of the sunscreen had been removed.
I tried out the cleanser on my face where I had put on a few layers of lightweight, non-waterproof make-up. The cleanser didn't do anything to remove the make-up. I used some other products which did the job.
Next, I used the cleanser in the shower. On my body, I had some residual sunscreen that had been diluted with a light baby lotion upon application from a couple of days ago. The same sunscreen was applied undiluted, but very lightly, in patches on my face before the shower.
The cleanser hardly did anything to remove even the residual sunscreen from my body. Same for the face. There was almost but not quite an exfoliating effect, resulting in some rougher / raised skin. This may be a result of this very mild cleanser trying to counteract the bit of sunscreen clinging to the skin's surface.
Lastly, I used the cleanser as the second step to a double-cleanse. I'm not sure how well it worked as a cleanser, but I noticed the thick consistency made it hard to wash off. I needed to wipe off the product while rinsing, otherwise it would remain on the skin.
My verdict is that this is a truly mild cleanser best used in the shower for gently rinsing off natural body oils and sweat after waking or routine exercising. The force from a shower's downpour may be necessary for a proper rinse. On the plus side, it's a satisfyingly thick goop that coats the skin well. There's basically no exfoliation and there are no irritating actives.
It might be worth checking out if you have highly sensitive skin or if you're looking for an everyday, gentle-yet-indulgent shower experience.

Hydrated and plumpy skin

I got this hair remover cream from @aveenoca @thisisbutterly and @chickadvisor . I provide honest opinion after testing it. I am at my beginning of 30s, I acknowledged that I need to have a different skincare routine. My skin produce less oil than just year before and sometimes feel dehydrated and dryness or itchness on face. I am still on the journey of finding right products for myself. One skincare product I rarely change is face cleanser. Having a combination skin type, i tend to have strong cleaning cleanser and rehydrated with following steps. When i got the chance to try out AVEENO® Calm + Restore Nourishing Oat Facial Cleanser, I am super happy. I am a long time lover of the gel moisturizer from AVEENO® Calm + Restore Nourishing Oat line. I testes out and found i can use it all seasons. Sometime i have different product for different seasons and weathers. Same idea with AVEENO® Calm + Restore Nourishing Oat Facial Cleanser. It can be use all year around. AVEENO® Calm + Restore Nourishing Oat Facial Cleanser is a milky cleanser. It cleanse without strip away water under the skin - with ingredients like chrysanthemum Parthenium (Feverfew) Flower/Leaf/Stem Juice also called hero ingredients. It can also calm the skin down because it contains oat. Oat has been recommend to people with sensitive and reactive skin type of people. As far as i know, people with sensitive skin type were told to do oat bath when the skin react like crazy. As a sensitive or you can say lost skin barrier person, i have to say it does help. It does help and make things easier. With a cleanser that doesnt strip water away from face, following skin care products can be absorbed into deep layer of the skin. This feels great! I have no itchiness or redness. And most important, i have plumpy skin like in my 20s. Thank you @aveenoca @thisisbutterly and @chickadvisor for letting me testing out this product!
