Bob's Red Mill Almond Meal is ground from whole, blanched sweet almonds. Almonds are notoriously healthy nuts providing a good amount of manganese and vitamin E , as well as a healthy serving of monounsaturated fats in each 1/4 cup serving. Not only do almonds have a healthy boost of protein, they are also very low in carbohydrates and naturally gluten free.

Eating whole almonds is terrific, but did you know that adding almond meal to your baking and cooking can bring the health benefits of almonds to your diet, as well as cutting back on carbohydrate consumption? Replacing 25% of the flour in your baking with almond meal will add wonderful texture and flavor while reducing the total carbohydrates. This makes it perfect for those following a low carbohydrate or paleo diet. Almond meal is produced in our gluten free facility, making it an ideal addition to a gluten free diet.

In addition to low carbohydrate baking, almond meal is wonderful for use in French macarons and financiers, pie crusts, cakes, cookies, pancakes and quick breads. To make a Cherry and Almond cake USE Bob's Red Mill ground almonds and your cake will be moist and tasty. Thanks Well.ca for having this product. It is hard to find.

Awful almond "flour" to make macarons. Not finely milled at all. Quite coarse and because of the coarseness, the almond meal is quite moist. Moist and coarse is both disastrous for macarons. Other mire finely milled flours are hard to fond in Canada, so if you must use this for macarons, process it in the food processor (pulse it sonit doesn't release too much oil) and place in a large baking sheet and dry out in the oven on low heat for a bit. Then store in the fridge tightly sealed to keep moisture out. Pain in the neck, but very few other companies will ship their much higher quality almond flour here or if they do, the shipping prices are sky-high. Really wish Well.ca would carry a much better almond flour than Bob's.

Love it! I make quite andew macarons for special occassions and this brand is great, though as tpu would with any almond flour, you still have to sift it, but it is nice and finely ground. It's also a really nice addition to some cakes to make them keep longer. Would never bother with another brand.

This is an excellent product - nice fine grind, good flavour, mixes in easily to yogurt, porridge, baking - anything you can think of! I tried another brand, and it was too coarse - it was worse than having popcorn stuck in your teeth. This ground almond product will never get stuck in your teeth. I had no idea it could be a problem, as I had only used Bob's Red Mill - I will stick to Bob's and Well.ca from now on! Unbeatable combination :)
