Good product but I was disappointed by the colour.
I like Burt's Bees' philosophy.
The lipstick is soft and creamy and goes on well.
I bought Fuchsia Flood; "bright pink with blue overtones". I expected it to look like the picture when it is on. (I even checked the Burt's Bees' website.)
I wanted exactly what I thought I purchased, but I got a shade that is lighter when it goes on. It doesn't suit my skin type or what I was looking for. It's too light for me.
I like the feel on my lips and will use it to soften a darker colour.
I recommend the product, but be careful about the shade.

Not bad for an affordable, natural product
This lipstick has some really nice colours and is very moisturizing. As some other reviewers mentioned, I have noticed a slightly gritty texture which is a bit disappointing. However, I found that when I apply this lipstick to my lips with my finger it doesn't seem to transfer the grittiness to my lips. Since I only want a light layer of colour, this works for me. But if you want full coverage you might have to deal with the grittiness. My favourite thing about this lipstick is that it's all natural, so I will be purchasing more colours.

Like everyone else has said, lots of positives to this lipstick as in great colour choice and soft feel. However after a few uses and the first layer is gone, the center formula is bumpy and quite abrasive on the lips. Almost like sandpaper. Disappointed as I love all of Burt’s bees other products.

Very dry to put on
I find this lipstick to be very dry and hard to put on. I think it should glide on a little easier. I’m not sure I’d purchase another Burt’s bees lipstick. I’m not very impressed. Love the color lily lake but should be glossier and shiner and easy to put on the lips.

Best Lipstick ever.
I bought 523 Sunset Cruise a week ago, and after my first apply, I fall in love with it. The texture is smooth, and the color is plump, not bumpy at all on my lip, to the contrary, this lipstick helps my lip keep hydrated, and after using this product, my lip dryness getting much better condition, this lipstick never make my lip dry, and I don't need to apply lip balm before this lip stick. And it's 100% natural ingredients, it's good for health, why not use something good for both health and beauty.

Great colours, terrible application
I love Burt's bees products, especcially for lips. Resently I purchased 3 new lipsticks in this line for day and evening looks. I was really dissapointments, especially with darker colours as they were not covering the lips evenly, flaky and dry.

Nice colour but gritty after a few uses.
I very much like the colour but the lipstick becomes gritty fairly quickly. Not sure if its some sort of chemical reaction or weird change in one or more of the components but it feels very strange and interferes with the application of the colour. I skimmed a layer off the top and it was fine for a day or so and then became gritty again. I've been pleased with their tinted lip balms and I'd like to like this product but I'm disappointed.

Went gritty after a few uses
I have 3 of these lipsticks and I really like the colours and the way they felt when I first used them. Unfortunately they all developed a gritty texture about a month into using them and I don't want to use them anymore. I would like to keep buying them because I liked the colours and initial texture a lot but I won't if this is what is going to happen. Please revise the formula and let us know when you have fixed the problem.

Good product
I like Burt's Bees for it's philosophy. This is my first purchase, although I've had the lip balm.
This is a nice lipstick, but it's a much lighter shade and more pink than I expected from the photo. I wanted a colour just like the picture. It doesn't look fuchsia at all. :-(
It's better if I wear it on top of red.
It feels nice going on.
I recommend it based on the company, and if you want pink.

Gritty and rough
I didn’t like this lipstick from the first time I used it as it went on ‘clumpy’. I persevered by applying it in conjunction with lip balm but as time went on the lipstick became gritty and rough, to the point it was truly unusable. I used a tissue to remove some of the lipstick in the tube, but the grittiness remained. I am very disappointed in this inferior Burt’s Bees product.

Disappointed with texture.
I'm so frustrated with this product! I love the shade, love love love the feel and long wearing moisture but as others have noted, it recently turned gritty and scratchy. I even tried slicing off a portion but the grittiness returned immediately. Hope you can figure out the problem and fix it because otherwise it's the best lipstick I've ever used!

What’s with the granules?
I’ve purchased over a dozen of both the cream and glossy lipsticks and while I love the colours and feel of both, almost all of them contain some sort of lumps or granules approximately 1/4” under the surface top of the lipstick. These come off onto my lips whenever I apply so I’ve had to throw them out. What a waste of money!

Very bumpy and grainy satin lipstick
As I read all the review I have the same result lipstick became very bumpy and grainy and very annoying and hurts my lips to apply..I stopped using it don’t know if it’s safe to use still. Burts bees should refund and stop this I love the 100% natural ingredients but this time I am so disappointed and won’t be buying anymore.

It gets lumpy and gritty!
I bought two a while back. First one has this weird lumps on the lipstick and I thought I did something wrong with it. Tried the second one and it's also lumpy and gritty. I even tried to cut off the top but after a few applications, it's lumpy again! I'm a big fan of your lip balm but very disappointed with the lipsticks.

Love the colors but not sure about the formula
They are great in the first place, but start to get weird lumps and texture recently. I have 2 colors bought at the same time but being used by different degrees, all have the similar issue now. It seems somethin inside the lipsticks are hardening and surfacing up. They still smells fine though. What happened?

Odd texture after a couple uses
I’ve purchased a few lipsticks both in satin and glossy and I found after a month or so the lipsticks get almost grainy and pieces come off on my lips. I love Burts Bees makeup so was really disappointed that the lipsticks weren’t the same quality, even after trying three different types and shades.

On a whim, I picked up Majenta Rush and I must say I really like the product. It has, indeed, a satiny feel and finish. The colour is nice and bright. My usual is MAC lipstick. This was a great alternative. I encourage you in your efforts to use recycled materials in the packaging and casing.

Why does my lipstick look so bumpy?
I loved how smooth and moisturizing this product was until it developed hard bumps. I tried rubbing off the top layer but they didn’t go away. Was really looking for a lip moisturizer/lipstick in one as I’m fairly basic with my makeup and this seemed perfect...

I liked this lipstick at first, nice colour (peony dew) and texture, but after a few weeks of use the texture turned extremely grainy to the point that it feels disgusting to put on my lips. Would not recommend and definitely would not purchase again.

Pretty colour and good texture!
I'm not sure when they updated the formula, but I've had blush basin for about a year now and I love it! It always has a really good texture for me, very hydrating and soft. I've only tried blush basin but I like the colour payoff!

Weird texture
I’m glad I’m not the only one noticing a grainy texture. I bought this lipstick in two shades and both have this grainy unattractive texture. Never had a lipstick like this before, and I don’t mean that in a good way.

I lik the colour mostly and it feels nice and isnt drying, very creamy but after like two applications it gets grainy and the texture becomes like distorted. I like it but its kind of annoying please fix the formula
