Caused breakout
The moisturizer with spf 30 has given me breakouts. I am so sad because I love every other Cerave product I’ve tried. I use all the cleansers, and both regular and nighttime moisturizers. My skin loves it, which is why i purchased this without sampling first. I am so disappointed. This will not deter me from keeping Cerave as my every day and night skincare routine. I should note that I have rosacea and I’m pretty sure this is the contributing factor. So I’m choosing YES I would recommend this product to a friend, with the caveat she/he doesn’t have rosacea.

Finding that it pills on my skin
Cerave came so highly recommended by my derm that I decided to purchase a few of their products (AM and PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion, Eye Repair Cream, Skin Renewing Day and Night Cream). Specifically for the AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion, I found that it pill quite a bit. In an effort to reduce the pilling effect, I tried reducing the amount of product used and also patting the cream instead of spreading it, but alas, still pilling.

Excellent product
I started using this last summer as I suddenly was having eczema breakouts and had to change my skin care regime...or develop one is more like it!
I've always been a natural girl so buying skin cream specific to my face was kind of foreign to me. I used natural oils before, to moisturize.
Anyway, I don't have eczema this year which is so fantastic. i love this cream because it is free of perfumes and 30SPF while also being priced reasonably.
I do not wear any type of make up so i have never noticed the 'pilling' people mention. I have noticed that I never get sun damage and My pores are never clogged anymore. I used to have issues with the T-zone but not anymore. I am very happy with this product and will continue to use it!

Leaves residue
I bought this because I didn’t like the packaging of the ultra light spf day cream I had tried. I loved the product but it needs to be in a pump bottle. This product is NOT the same as the ultra light spf day cream. This product went on thick, left streaks of white like many sunscreens leave. When that finally disappears and I apply my make up, my make up clumps and leaves residual clumps all over my face. I cannot use it if wearing make up. Wish I hadn’t bought it. The same night cream is light and applies perfectly just as the ultralight cream does.

Pills badly and makes my eyes water!
I've used many chemical sunscreens and never had the problem of eyes watering.
This one which has both physical and chemical filters makes my eyes water.
That's the least of the problems, however. Even when applied to the bare face, this doesn't absorb well and pills so much.
There is a white cast which is expected since there's Zinc Oxide. But it's not a big problem for me, since I don't use this for going out.
I usually love CeraVe products. The foaming cleanser and the PM moisturizer are must-haves for me. But this one was a waste of money.

Love it!
I bought this about a week and a half ago and I am very happy that I did. I love Cerave products (I use the cleanser and a moisturizer) and I was super excited to find an SPF version of the moisturizer. I know this works because I went on a four and a half hour hike in the hot LA sun and only burned where I didn't apply this moisterizer (e.g. shoulders and arms). My face and chest were fine! Highly reccomend. I do not wear make up so this product is perfect for me, dries clear and I do not feel like it adds too much of an oily feel to my face.

Really loving this
I’ve been using this lotion for about a week and have noticed such an improvement in my skin, which is great because I’ve been having a hard time with my complexion lately. I’m happy to finally find something that is working and helping to clear it up. So much so, that I will switch the rest of my skin care products to ceraVe

Does the job!
I’ve been using this moisturizer for the past couple of months and I am happy with thr results. It does take some time to massage into the skin to minimize the white cast, but my skin seems to soak it right up. I have not applied any foundation over top of it, so I can’t speak to that. Working from home now,I haven’t felt the need to wear make up. But honestly, since using this product, along with Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, and Skin renewing night cream in the pm, my skin’s been looking great without any foundation!

Skin Irritation.
I was hopeful considering the price of this product. Everything was going well at first and then after about two weeks I developed a severe rash around on my temples and underneath my eyes. It was red itchy patches of bumps that also burned.

it pills and i got acne
I have brown skin and this definitely leaves a white cast on my skin after. it also pills A LOT. Like i'm not even done with rubbing it all over but it starts pilling. also ive noticed that whenever i apply this sunscreen, I just get small acne. the other day i wore this sunscreen for a longer period of time, i took it off at night and in the morning i had 4 new acne. this is very disappointing and i also hate the way my skin looks with this. I'm sad that i wasted money on this. wont recommend.

Skin reaction
For a brand that I usually love for sensitive skin, this particular product (am moisturizer with spf) is horrible - dermatitis from this and super itchy and painful, redness all over face and back would not recommend to anyone who has skin sensitivities. This is also the only new product or change that was introduced and I haven’t had a reaction like this from anything else. I also tried this one other time since purchasing and the same thing happened so now I’m confident this is the issue.

Loved the old formula!!!
I recently bought this product after finishing the tube of the old formula. I was surprised when applying it that the product started pilling and balling up on my skin, I thought it might have been due to the sunscreen already on my face. I gave it another try with no product on my face and it didn't pill as bad, when reapplying the pilling started again. I'm disapointed because I loved the previous formula! One thing about this product that I liked was the new packaging.

Gets Patchy
I’m not in love with this sunscreen, but it’s a good sunscreen and SPF is in good amount. In the application, it leaves a bit of a white cast. It’s not oily on face, but if I don’t set it with a powder, it stays a bit sticky and get oily after a while. My huge problem with this is that whenever I want to apply my makeup on it with any different products, it just make my foundation and concealer flaky & patchy, and doesn’t let them to be blended well.

Terrible smell
I've been using CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for sometime and expected the Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 to be up to the same standard. I can't comment on well the lotion works as I had to try to wash off the pervasive, stinky smell immediately on application. I washed with soap and water twice and still have the scent on my face. It seems to work like Fabreeze. What have you done to what is purported be fragance free.

I do not recommend
I love cerave products and I am never one to leave a review but this product deserves one. It leaves a white cast, crumbles/pills when rubbing it in & it’s an absolute nightmare to wear under makeup. I’ve been using the SA cleanser and the pm cream for a while and I loved them so I figured I’d add this to my routine and I regret it. I would go with the hydrating moisturizer instead & use something else for SPF.

Great but hate the hidden parabens
I used this product for over a year and it does such a great job, and even used it when I was pregnant without realizing I shouldn't be since it has parabens. What a shame that it has them when most of the CeraVe products don't have them. Even though a non paraben version is coming to the US, it seems that's not happening for a while on the Canada site. When are we gonna get a non paraben version?

A crime
This sunscreen is literally awful. It’s extremely greasy and feels awful on my skin, but what’s worse is the way it pills so horrendously. I can’t even rub it in, it just leaves white flakes all over my face as I’m trying to put it on. This is shocking since the rest of cerave’s products are usually so great but this sunscreen is truly a crime. I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy

Made me break out
I didn't want to give it just a 1 star because I've found out for whatever reason niacinamide makes me break out and sunscreen which isn't the creams fault. I bought both the AM and PM and
sadly didn't work out for me. I also found the AM gave me a whitecast and was oily on my face which has never happened to me with any other mosteriser. My face usually sucks up mosteriser instantly.

Not a great product
I bought it and I don’t like it at all. First of all It leaves horrible flaky white cast, and I have a fair complexion, it felt like I’m renaissance period woman. It flaked so bad it end up getting on my hat from my forehead. I have hard time believing other reviews, not only not great, it’s a simply bad formula, on top that it is not easily spreadable, hence bad flaking.

Awesome moisturizer
I have been using this for 1 week and I have already noticed a difference in my skin.
My acne has actually almost completly cleared up for some reason and my skin looks healthier overall.
I haven't noticed the light cast from the sunscreen because I am very pale already, but I haven't had any peeling of the product or anything like that. It absorbs quick into my skin!

Excellent for mature skin
I began using this product every morning about 1 year ago. This moisturizing lotion with sunscreen is everything in one bottle. The ceramides, the hyaluronic acid, and the niacinamide give my skin what it needs on a daily basis and the sunscreen helps to protect the moisturized skin from UV rays. There is no need to layer multiple products on the face.

I used this moisturizer twice, the first day it was a flawless application, the second day after I put it on it started to flake off my skin. I have dry-normal skin, more on the normal side the last few days with no dry spots or flakes previous to using this. Not sure why it started flaking, but very disappointed in the product for this reason.

Does not get into my skin
I am a cancer patient and side effect from treatment is extremely dry skin. While the Cerave cream does wonders for my arms, the facial cream is a total disappointment. It does not penetrate the skin, leaving white dry streaks on the side of my cheeks and will flake off if I touch my skin. Difficult to remove as I can’t use soap on my face.

AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with Sunscreen
I've been using it for several years now. It doesn't cause breakouts and it is effective. It absorbs well, but if your skin is damp then you have to massage it in for a wee bit longer. Not a negative in my mind. It's a great product. I recommend CeraVe to my friends because I'm so impressed. I wish retail stores wouldn't mark it up so much.

Difficult to apply
Things I like about the product:
1. It has chemical and physical sunscreen ingredients - good UVA and UVB coverage.
2. No fragrance, as I ended up with perioral dermatits and want to use products that aren't sensitizing or irritating.
3. My skin can look pink or even a bit red at times. This gives a slight brightening/lighter appearance to my skin.
4. Looks dewy with just some pressed powder on the T zone to matify it.
However, as my title states, I find this difficult to apply without getting it pilling or flaking off. I have tried to apply it in smaller patches (without going over the same area twice) with some success, but then I worry I am maybe missing some spots "in between" these application patches. No matter how carefully I apply, the product seems to slough off at least in a few spots. If this issue was solved, I would definitely give this 5 stars. I love CeraVe, but am thinking after this bottle is gone, I will try a different product.

Most horrible sunscreen ever
I bought this around couple of weeks ago and I must say that the experience has been terrible. It seems as if too much hype has been created about CeraVe products. This leaves a white powdery residue and has even made me breakout. I am very much frustrated and disappointed with this over hyped inferior product!!!! Thumbs down!!!

Great every day sunscreen
I've purchased this several times. It does pill, but there's a bit of a technique to putting in on and it can be minimized. Also, I wear it on days (which is most days) that I don't wear make up. A nice finish, not dry, not shiny. Call me weird but I also love the unscented 'scent' of this product. Will continue to repurchase.

Leaves white flecks
I bought this about 4-5 months ago and have been using it daily. The finish is decent, not overly oily or slick like other moisturizing sunscreens I've tried.
My main criticism is that it leaves behind little white flecks, almost as if parts of the bottle dried up? If this wasn't the case I'd like this product a lot more.

It immediately helped with the dry patches on my face and the sunscreen really worked well however it is white and made my skin look lighter. I have not noticed any breakouts or irritation and my skin is usually very sensitive. So far I love this product, I just wish there was more product (its a small bottle).

Love this product!
Cerave was recommended to me by my dermatologist, I purchased it and now it is my go-to moisturizer. It goes on very light and once you allow it to penetrate it is invisible. I have used more expensive products and they are no better. I have recommended this product to my friends & family- thank you Cerave!
