Still Messy
I agree with many of the other reviews. I bought this as a solution for the drippy spout found on the biggest jugs of detergent (which I don't normally buy) with the intention of keeping the bottle and bringing it to my local refill store. Well, it proves to be not any less messy than dealing with the dispenser. The holes that allow the excess to drip back into the bottle are not great, and yes, the detergent spills out of the upside down lid and down the sides of the bottle. That said, it is VERY sturdy and feels like it will last. I may just drill a few more holes in the rim and see how that goes!
