Without directions of any kind in the box, we found out the hard way that you must wait for the markers to dry 100% before using the color changer one over top-otherwise you ruin the color changer because it soaks up the color you were trying to use it over-and the iridescent effect is lost because you have the other colors mixed into it. We thought after a minute or two it would be dry enough, but it took longer to dry 100%. We tried these on a variety of surfaces, and they really were nothing really special at all-just gave a bit of shine. I would think they might ONLY be good for really dark surfaces as the description says, but it also makes it sound like they are good for other colored surfaces, which I don't think that they are, so that is a bit misleading. And they really should come with instructions of some sort, especially for the price. Disappointing.
