(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I like this conditioner the consistency is nice and thick and smoothes easily over the hair. The scent isn't too strong so it is good with people who like mild scents. The conditioner left my hair feeling really soft and smooth. My hair is naturally curly and frizzy so I don't think it has helped to reduce the frizziness or but it did help make it look healthier overall. I also like that this conditioner doesn't make my hair look greasy. So far I have experienced less itchiness in my scalp as well. Overall, I think this is a good conditioner to try for people with itchy scalps and want some relief!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Dove Derma Care Dry Scalp Itch Relief conditioner leaves my thick wavy hair feeling clean and smelling fresh. Usually my hair is left tangly and dry but the few times of using this conditioner,I’ve noticed that it’s not the case. Also, I never had dandruff issues but I get itchy dry scalp this time of year and from the few times I have used this conditioner I’ve noticed my scalp not being as itchy. It is definitely more relief than I have gotten with this compared to other conditionera.

First of all, tone down the fragrance please! It’s way too strong! It’s like hugging that aunt from out of town who likes to pour an entire perfume bottle on her. Yikes!
How’s my dandruff after using this? Still there, hasn’t improved whatsoever. It actually dried out my scalp, leaving it itchy and irritable. Also, my hair doesn’t feel as soft as it would using another cheaper product I normally use. Dryness with dandruff is not something I want!

The shampoo smells much more heavily of shea butter than the conditioner does, which is nice, because it doesn't add to the scent of the shampoo (the scent isn't unpleasant, and dissipates quickly to something softer). I don't usually condition my scalp, but because I did with this and the conditioner did not weigh down my hair as conditioners tend to (which is why I usually only condition the ends and not my roots). My hair was left soft and shiny and my scalp stopped feeling dry and itchy from the winter. I really liked this product and I would consider buying it again.

Both products combined seemed to be the perfect combination for my Husband and myself when it came to the itchiness and dry flakes. My Husband definitely deals with it more than I do, so when he tells me that he doesn't have the dry, irritated scalp and less flakes, I know the products are working.
I have used it on myself too, as I deal with the same symptoms, but not as bad as his. I found both products to make my hair insanely soft and like him, the dry, irritated scalp was not as bad.

I have wavy hair that gets weighed down by most conditioners, or my hair will go frizzy if it isn't weighed down. This made my waves look so awesome and shiny, with no frizz! I also use this on my roots (which I know you're not supposed to use conditioner on roots but it has "scalp" in the name) and my scalp has never been this non-itchy! I will most likely use this conditioner until the day they stop making it (which I hope is never!)

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I had been suffering with dru scalp for a while. With the cold dry weather and cheap drugstore shampoo, my head it was so itchy I couldn't wear black tops or sleep properly. I decided to give this product a try and I am glad I did.
The product is thick and smells a little strong, which is understandable since it is a medicated shampoo. After the first use I noticed a dramatic difference in the itchiness. After the second use the flakes were gone. I use it once every 15 days now or once a week depending on how dry the weather and my scalp are. But I truly highly recommend this product. You can't beat it for the price.

My usual anti dandruff shampoo just hasn't been cutting it lately, so I was looking forward to seeing how well this one would work and if it would be better. It was! Usually I use a exfoliating scalp scrub before my shampoo and conditioner in an effort to keep my scalp clean, but with this Dove shampoo I didn't have to do that, which was great! It also left my hair much softer and less frizzy than my usual, which is even better. I think I may just end up sticking with this Dove Derma+Care shampoo!
