Earth Rated PoopBags switched from a focus on degradable additives in favor of using more recycled plastics. They found that once the plastics hit the landfills, even if they have an additive designed to speed up the breakdown process, the conditions made it nearly impossible to guarantee the timing. Once the plastics are buried, they become almost mummified and no longer break apart. The shift in their focus is to accurately measure the bags' impact on the environment. Thick but not compostable
These are good waste bags. I like that they are of adequate thickness and that the sticker that comes on the roll does not tear into the bag. I find there isn't much odour once the bags are tied. They are a large enough size for a 50lbs dog or a large baby diaper. They are unfortunately not compostable/

Best doggy bags
EarthRated bags are honestly the best. I've tried a couple other brands but nothing compares, they are sturdy, not see-through, & large. They are biodegradable & luckily where I live, you can actually compost both animal waste & plastic bags, so eco-friendly as well!

Oh, you can find much cheaper ones, but, they will tear and be difficult to open, so just pay a few pennies more and have the best! Also better for environment
