Ecoideas Organic Whole Tigernuts
227 g
Tigernuts are small tubers, not actual nuts – an important fact for those with allergies. The ancient Egyptians knew that the fruit of Tigernuts’ grass (Cyperus Esculentes) was highly beneficial, both as medicine and nutrition. Its root tubers are distinguished by an unusually high proportion of fibre and a delicious taste.

Enjoy as a snack or with healthy food! Usually eaten raw, mixed in muesli, yogurt, or as a nut substitute. Beneficial when mixed with baby and children’s food for healthy growth. Powdered form can be blended into morning smoothies. 2 tsp recommended daily for full advantage of benefits.

Benefits of Certified Organic Tigernuts:

These are a very interesting snack. Very versatile too. I would soak them first. They have a nutty and slight coconut taste to them. I just bought another bag!

An unusual 'superfood'! These are crunchy, slighly sweet, packed with nutrients and take a long time to eat because of the very high fibre content. Re-hydrating them by soaking for a few hours releases more of the nutty flavour.

These things are great! Really interesting/tasty/nutty flavour, plus they last for a while so you don't eat so many. My kids like them, and my grandma recognized them as a snack she used to eat as a kid in the UK.
