Dinner plates
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I purchased the dinner plates in the speckled white and use them daily. They look amazing. Love the speckles, the matt glaze, the lip around the edge to keep food on the plate. They wash beautifully in the dishwasher or by hand. They are also very durable, having not broken any as yet. I would give them five stars if it was not for the grey utensil marks that I have to remove on many pieces after a meal. This works fine if it was just the two of us sharing a meal but gets frustrating when I have the family over and must scrub many pieces. That said, the marks do come off with the recommended brush and Barkeeper’s Friend cleaner.

Classy comfort!
Speckled white plates & bowls: everything looks good on these dishes and with them. The handmade look and off-white colour creates a warm tone that can be formal or casual. Some of the dishes might not suit a kitchen with limited shelf storage due to volume of space they require, especially the bowls which stack but don't nest. The plates wash well by hand and in the dishwasher -- but the bowls don't fit well in the washer racks so we wash the bowls by hand. Beautiful dishes and a pleasure to use. A side benefit to their weight is they retain heat well when pre-heated -- an asset for outside dining.

Very happy with our purchase
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We ordered four white dinner plates and four blue mugs to try out the products and colours and are really enjoying using them. We weren't sure if we would like the speckles on the white but we have gotten used to them. The plates and mugs both have a good substantial feel to them but not too heavy. I love the way they look and they are practical for everyday use. Also love combining the blue and white. We are going to move ahead and supplement our initial order with a few more dinner plates as well as bowls and small plates.

Two words - unique, quality
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I scoured the internet for new dinnerware. I knew I wanted white but I didn’t want them to look like ‘diner’ dishes. A few other musts were; had to be ceramic, had to have a lip but easily stacked in the dishwasher and sustainably sourced. Fable met all the check boxes. A couple of things to note: the specks on the white are more prominent than what is shown in the pictures. I wasn’t sure if I liked it at first but I don’t mind it now. Also the cereal bowls don’t stack well. They are lovely and I am happy with my purchase.

Nice till I cut on it
I was very excited to get these plates. The design is beautiful, the speckling as well as the shape are great and the white colour is just the clean look I had wanted. However, after the first use with a knife they had scratches! And I'm not talking about sawing into a tough steak or something like that, this was light use and I was being purposefully precious with the new plates since I wanted to keep them in great shape for as long as possible. The finish on these plates scratches far too easily. Even if BKF can remove the scratches this seems absurdly delicate.

Beautiful and Elegant
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) These plates are as beautiful as I had hoped and the perfect size for dinners. They are gorgeously made and do well in the dishwasher as well as being hand washed. I haven't noticed much scratching on them from the silverware but do take care to wash them gently. We did break one plate quite easily putting it down at a wrong angle onto a wooden table but we ended up buying another set, so we had more than three. Altogether they are 5/5 for me as long as you don't have small children as they seem easy to break.

Perfect!
I was in need of new dinnerware as ours was, well loved. It was also the wrong shade of white. I searched high and low and these hit the mark for every requirement - including sustainability and ethically. Well in person, these are even better! The photos while beautiful, somehow don't do these justice! They are gorgeous! I am obsessed with the bottoms, I love the texture and unfinished look. I didn't know I could love plates this much! The simple stamp, the speckles are just perfect, not too much or too little, and looks great with my eclectic decor that's a mixture of farmhouse/rustic/modern/boho. I have only bought the dinner plates but will be replacing all my current dinnerware with these! Will be grabbing the pink as well!
