So-so hair product
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I didn’t hate this hair jelly but I also didn’t love it. I switched to hair creams a while ago because I didn’t love the crunchy look my curls had with gel. This Garnier Curl Treat Jelly had a really strong smell inside the container, like a perfumy coconut; however, it was much more mild when in my hair. I actually really liked the scent. What I didn’t love was the strong and crunchy look my curls had. The texture was actually a jelly, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. Unfortunately I won’t be using this product again. #freeproduct #freesample

Great for air drying
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I really like this product! I didn't think I would like it as much as I do, because I normally avoid drugstore hair care. The smell is phenomenal. It smells like a tropical drink. The texture is strange at first, since it's a jelly, but it allows me to take a small quantity. I barely need to coat the tips of my fingertips, so this product will last me quite a while. My hair feels soft, and light when I use this product. I prefer to air dry my hair, and this product works well for that. I'm a little worried it's causing my scalp to flake, but that could also be the changing weather. Otherwise, I love this product. #freeproduct #topbox

Great dupe for Kinky Curly Curling Custard!
I have 4b hair that I wear in a wash and go 90% of the time. I've been searching for a more affordable version of the KCCC and, by gosh, I have finally found it!
This jelly leaves my hair shiny, full of body/movement and smelling like fresh laundry ;). My coils are springy, soft and touchable. It does not dry out my hair.
The texture is a firm apple sauce-like consistency and it has good slip when applied.
I use the LOC method; on soaking wet hair, I apply an oil, a creamy leave-in and then the jelly.
Tips: Use a water-based, non-shea butter, non-glycerin leave-in for a stronger hold with a nice caste that breaks easily. Use with a glycerin/shea butter-based leave-in for a light to medium hold. My wash and go's last 7 days with this jelly.
Thanks Garnier for making a drugstore botanical gel that works on my type 4 hair!!

Not for me

Although i do have naturally curly hair, this product is just not something I particularly like for my hair preference. Not saying its a bad product, it just isn’t for me. The texture is very interesting and like the title says, jelly like. It smells great though! Just like coconut. I used a small amount in my wet hair and scrunched it a but and let it dry naturally, the effect was nice and it wasn’t overly crunchy, its just not the style i prefer anymore.

It smells great but not sure it hits the mark
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received this for free from Topbox Circle and have used it a few times now, you get a lot of product and a little goes a long way. The only thing I find is it doesn't help with my curl keeping shape I do find it still gets frizzy but it smells great. I've used it during the day and at night before bed. It may put you off if you aren't good with a jello like texture
I usually like to use a diffuser and I find this somewhat helps with getting the curl to stay in my hair with this product

perfect curls!

I have never used a jelly on my hair before i have always used mousse and i am happy to say i will be making a switch. I find this product is perfect for frizz control. I have really curly hair and this product has my curls coming out perfect every time! The scent for this product is also really nice subtle and fruity. #freeproduct

Curls !
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I used this product on wet hair after my shower in the morning. First thing that surprised me was the consistancy of the product. Well can't say I was that surprised considering they call it « Jelly », but I'm not used to applying this kind of product in my hair. It feels kind of weird to pick some, like you're putting your hand in Jello. I just took a bit, like they say (about a quarter size), and my hair is about shoulder length. I just spread the product on both hands and get my hands through my hair, it applies nicely. You have to wash your hands because they will be sticky.
As for the results, I thought this product helped define my curls. My hair is naturally wavy and will curl when air dried. I felt my curls were more « curly ». I also loved the smell. You can also smell it in your hair after too. It's not an overwhelming scent, it's just subtle but I like it. The only thing I didn't like was that some bits of hair were kind of hard - crunchy style. I'm thinking I might've applied a bit too much on those strands, but it again, it was very minor, passing my hand through them when it was dried fixed the problem.

Great for Minimizing Frizz
I received this product in exchange for my honest review. While my hair is naturally curly, I tend not to wear it naturally (chemically straighten/flat iron hair) but tried this product out while taking a week long break from heat styling. I was a bit skeptical at first with this product as most products that promise to help tame frizz and maintain curls typically are disappointing plus the texture of this product was a bit different from anything I had used before. I was pleasantly surprised however when I did apply the product how lightweight it was (didn't make my hair feel weighed down) and it actually helped keep curls without looking crunchy. The product also has a really nice tropical scent which lasts all day. As my hair is quite thick, I did have to apply more than the receommended quarter size amount but it did a great job taming my frizz.
