Hylamide Finisher Matte 12
Mattifying should not mean drying. In fact, matte skin should be just as comfortable as oily skin. Matte 12 uses advanced elastic spherical polymers that bind to oil but do not make the skin feel dry.

Here are some very good facts about these spheres:
  • They allow Matte 12 to repel water and bind only to oil so the product doesn't dry out the skin (in fact, Matte 12 can easily be used on dry skin for a matte finish);
  • They are elastic and form an incredibly soft finish to the skin;
  • They are nearly-perfectly spherical in shape (unlike many powders) making them a fantastic base that can work under any makeup (or used happily alone)
Matte 12 is intended for all skin types including dry skin. On most skin types, the effect of the product will last until rinsed, for up to 12 hours. For very oily skin types, an additional application throughout the day may be needed.

Directions: If used without makeup, apply as last skincare step. Otherwise, pat gently over face with fingertips after liquid foundation but before powder. Ideally used with Pore Control (Previously called Matte 365).

Note: This product contains highly unique technology that may work well under makeup as well or mixed with other products like hydrators. We encourage that you get creative with the use until you achieve an ideal balance for your skin needs.

Avoid product contact with dark fabric as it may leave a residual (temporary) white effect. Avoid contact with hairline as the product may leave a temporary white residue. Do not use with Pore Delete as it will be too drying.

I've changed the way I use this "Finisher" on my really oily days and thought I would pass it along to help. This is meant to be used over foundation, but under setting powder. What I do is mix a small bit of the Matte 12 with my primer (usually HA Blur primer but it's worked with others too) and lay it down. Then apply foundation and any cream products if you use them, before taking a large pea sized amount and really rub around your finger tips and most of the fingers. Sort of liquify it by rubbing it and with your body heat. Dab it on your foundation and cream blush, cream highlight, cream contour, etc. If you use powder blush, contour, etc, just dab the Matte 12 on the foundation alone. It won't move your makeup/foundation (it hasn't for me anyways). Use a setting powder and go ahea with powder makeup. This way the oil is taken care of from the bottom and if it does come through, it's taken care of at the top.

Best mattifier I've ever used. I use this as a primer on my oily areas and my makeup doesn't budge. It's so different for me to touch my forehead 5-6 hours after putting my makeup on and not feel like an oil slick. This, with a good setting spray, can really make an oily gal's makeup bulletproof.

This is by the far the best product I have used to help control oil. I don't wear makeup, so I use this on it's own to help control oil throughout the day. At first I thought this product was awful because it did nothing to help with oil. However, I decided to change my application and it made the biggest difference. If you are planning to use this on it's own, I would recommend warming the product between your fingers and patting it onto the face instead of spreading it all over. I haven't use it as a primer because I don't wear makeup, but I would say wearing it by itself works for a good 7-8 hours!

This is the best thing I have discovered that helps with oil control and staying matte throughout the day! At first I didn't like it because it didn't do anything to control my oil, but one day I decided to change my method of application and it made the BIGGEST difference! Do NOT smear this product on ur face the way you would like a regular moisturizer. The best application that works for me is warming the product between ur fingers and applying in a patting motion on your face. Everyone needs to try this you won't be disappointed!!!!!!

Works well as a primer or on its own. I wouldn't say it has the 12 hours as advertised - maybe closer to 8 or 9, but it didn't break me out and a little goes a long way!
