I received the john frieda visibly brighter in shower lightener free in the mail and was so absolutely excited to try, it only took a couple minutes and the results were awsome I unfortunately didn't take any pictures was to happy to try. My hair is definitely a shade or so lighter and nice n silky smooth, the shampoo and conditioner have a wonderful scent I would most definitely buy and recommend this to anyone looking to lighten their hair at home and no worries about the orange look I've dyed my hair at home in the past I always get that orange color hate it. So thank you very much for letting me try this product love it and recommend.

I received this product from Glam Sense and i was so excited to try it. Been thinking of dyeing my hair brown for a while and this looked like a good alternative. I have a very dark hair color and this did make it "sunkissed" and slightly browner but not to the degree i wanted ( it does only say it will give it shine and a little lighter ) but it does do what it says. I was also dissapointed about the fact that is contains ammonia and has a very harsh smell. I would have rather get a hair color that is ammonia free than use this for the results i wanted. if you have lighter colored hair( true brunette) it would be better for you!

Disappointed in this product compared to similar lines
I was sent this Brilliant Brunette in-shower lightening treatment from Glam Sense to try in exchange for writing an honest review about it.
I was initially very excited to try this product after reading that the shampoo and conditioner would gradually lighten without the use of peroxide. Then was very disappointed when i put the product in my hand, then hair to see or rather smell that this particular one did have peroxide. that wouldn't be such a bad thing, if after 5 minutes i noticed a difference in my hair. but rather it feel very dry, and tangly and it took an extra day and wash for the smell to get out of my hair.

I received the In-Shower Lightening Treatment in an Influenster voxbox, and used this two weeks after colouring my hair as a colour re-fresh. It did not lighten my hair a full shade, but it did even out my hair colour as my ends were a few shades darker from a previous dye job (I'd just switched to a medium mahogany brunette from a darker one and didn't lighten the ends before). The product is a little drying, so if your hair is super dry be prepared for that. For me, it was nothing that a conditioning hair mask couldn't fix. I'm sure that lighter brunettes would have a more pronounced lightening effect, but my hair is naturally quite dark.
