As close to perfect as you can get
I still have an old (10+ years old!!!) klean kanteen with a cafe cap and just wanted another one now that my alternate travel mug broke. I like to have a clean one to switch to when the other one is drying. My old one is scratched and dented from use, but it still keeps drinks hot for hours and hours. Hot enough that if I make tea in it, I leave room for cold water or it will still be too hot to drink for ages. Once you get the hang of disassembling and reassembling the cafe cap, it's great. I really like the metal handle on the new top, and the coating feels like it's going to be more durable than on my old one. The colour is also a nice change. There are only a couple of flaws, first, that depending on your car, this will likely not fit in a cup holder. But second, and more importantly, while the cap does NOT leak, if you've been sipping from it, a little bit of your drink sticks to the underside of the part of the cap that you twist to open it. This was true on the old and new design, I guess there was no way around it. Just be aware of this if you're planning to drink and then throw it right in your bag. I close it and kind of give it a shake to get those drops out, or I put it in a plastic bag inside of my bag. If it's standing up in a side pocket it'll be fine. Anyways, I love these bottles, they are 100% worth the price and stand up to heavy use.
