The LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Chamber of Secrets (76389) playset is an impressive, collectible toy that is ideal for explorative play and display.
This versatile set includes well-known rooms, enchanting features and familiar characters from the Harry Potter movies. The Great Hall contains 2 long tables, Dumbledores golden-owl lectern and authentic accessories, such as the sorting hat. Just like in the movies, the Chamber of Secrets has an iconic circular entrance and a large statue with an opening mouth, which reveals a corridor from where the Basilisk snake enters the room.
10 minifigures are included to inspire imaginative play-and-display possibilities: Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley, Tom Riddle, Colin Creevey, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Luna Lovegood, Gilderoy Lockhart, Albus Dumbledore, Professor Sinistra and Nearly Headless Nick. There are collectible treats too: an exclusive, golden, anniversary Voldemort minifigure and 6 random wizard card tiles.

So Much to Love!
I am thrilled with how this set turned out! When assembled, it is really huge both in width and height. I was apprehensive to get another set with the Great Hall, but in this version, it is more like the Dueling Hall really. I also loved the MinaLima prints on the cereal boxes! There is a great fresh collection of minifigures (Tom Riddle is my favourite), and I love the electric blue pixies. My favourite feature would be how it reminds me of the 2001/2002 sets that combined to make one giant castle. Since I never snatched up all those sets back then, I'm glad that I can recreate it 20 years later!

When the pandemic hit, we were looking for activities in the indoors. The wife did needle work and quilts - I found the activity level of Lego extremely satisfying for my now not so nibble fingers and slower brain activity. But all to the good. Lego building helps me to continue driving me school bus (I'm now 83!). It keeps my young and interested. Keep it up Lego - we love you.

Great Harry Potter Set
Still in the middle of building this set for my daughter, but there’s a great many little details and nods to the Harry Potter books that my daughter excitedly tells me. The modular building designs are nice, with neat little flourishes throughout the build and a lot of frogs! I like the inclusion of the glow in the dark pieces as well.
Only issue I’ve had with the set is very minor, but there are some errors in the instructions specifically to do with the numbering of the stickers. My instructions say they eyes on the stone face are both 11, where as my sticker sheet has them as 11 and 12. The instructions also note sticker 12 as being a book cover when it is 16. Not huge issues, but something that should be corrected.
Overall very happy with the set. Interesting build with lots of little details and lots of fun to be had in playing with. My daughter used her birthday money to purchase it and is definitely happy with it.

Fantastic set
This has to be one of the most fun builds I've done yet. There's so much going on and so many little hidden pieces, I mean what's up with all to chocolate toads.
Loved the build and how it looks amd how it fits together with the other hogwarts sets

Excellent Play set, Disgusting display.
I'm sure that this set is probably someones dream lego set. But for me its sort of a major disappointment. I simply do not believe that the change to these less accurate, playset inspired castle builds was warranted. Even as a kid I remember hating the old Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts sets (of which this and the other modular hogwarts sets are trying to capture) and never buying them FOR A REASON. They do not depict any recognizable part of the castle seen in the films. The 2018-2020 wave was amazing. Brought these highly accurate sets for people to build and display, but also fantastic interiors for play so I can use them too. This new style really does ruin everything that was great about this rebooted Lego Harry Potter theme. I really hope Lego doesn't stick with it. Its awful.
That being said, the play value is amazing, if your child isn't like what i waa like, someone with eyes.

Instructions have mislabeled the stickers, the build was okay but the failure is in the execution of the random tiles for chocolate frogs. I got 5 of one character out of the 6 tiles. epic fail

Missing part
I have missing part. I open 01 plastic bag only to get start on Christmas Eve morning. I had missing part. I couldn't finished my snake. This problem made me sad, I stopped playing it after Number 1 bag. Hope I can get the piece of my snake.
