Great but has an eyesore
Was so excited for this set as I'm a huge f1 and Mclaren fan. I'm surprised no one else has said anything since it's very obvious from all the other review pictures, the front nose piece that is red with the white part screen printed on it is very pink and stands out like a sore thumb and ruins the entire look of the build. Wish they would've checked this before selling it.

Great build, but room for improvement
This set was great to build, geared a little more towards older children rather than adults who would be a little more aware of who Ayrton Senna was. Some improvements I would make to the pieces are having flat face pieces where any exposed lugs are, especially on the front spoiler, it would make more sense as these cars are built with aerodynamics in mind.
I love Lego and the sets they put out, but there are improvements I would like to see in general to allow for more DIY custom builds, some pieces that competitors have released to allow for this without the use of technic pieces

This was a gift for my daughter that’s an F1 fanatic and even if she never saw Seanna race she want this Lego more as a collection then a toy to play. Was really happy, she even had tears when I gave it to her. Which put a smile on my face.
Ps my daughter is 18 not a baby
It’s a beautiful piece and also a great gesture from LEGO to honour one of the greatest driver in F1
If Lego makes it into a trend with other driver and cars of F1 I would be a regular buyer

Good, but...
Overall it's great and for 95% of fans I'm sure none of it will bother them. The rear tires for me are brutal and I will be finding a way, even if spending more money elsewhere to fix via 3d printer or some other mod tires. Senna being my all time favorite driver like many others I had to have the set but my ocd has to fix the tires as it just looks so wrong.

I am not normally disappointed by Lego sets, but this one is really not great. The paint on the nose piece is very poorly don't and the rear tires are completely wrong.

Fantastic recreation
Fantastic build experience for only 693 pcs on this recreation of the 1988 Mclaren MP4/4 race car that was one of the most successful F1 cars. The model has slick tires that are heavy and look great, working steering & suspension as well as a detailed motor. The finished model looks great on the display stand. Highly recommended and enjoy the build.

What an excellent set! As a life long Senna fan it was only appropriate to get this to honor the greatest driver and greatest car in F1. Some small pieces were annoying but well worth it. Also loved the Brazilian easter eggs!

Fitting tribute to a legendary driver
My first Lego car build and I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail and easy-follow instructions. Hoping that Lego comes out with more historical cars, race series and drivers.
