What happened??
In a collection of 12, I pre-ordered 4 packs and the first 3 consecutively were the same figure. Really? I had expectations for a dupe, and extremely low ones for a pair of twins. Something is clearly off here when many reviews say similar things. There's gotta be a better way to randomize. And the packs were all beaten! I'm surprised none split in the shipping envelope. I expected better from Lego themselves. I was looking forward to this. I like blind products and I've bought other lines of Lego blind figs before. But the experience is so sour, it would be a long shot for me to buy from the D&D set again, and it would be in-store if I found them, certainly NOT from this site.

Love this set, but...
Managed to acquire all the individual minifigures, the only 2 things of minor issue were the Strahd von Zarovich mini was missing a sword. Have requested it in the "Missing Pieces" support help. The Lady of Pain mini, I can't figure out how to "attach" the small cube that it is shown to be holding.

Duplicates
Ordered 3 packs of these hoping for a few different figures. Opened the first two and they were duplicates. Seemed like it could have happened by chance. Opened the third and it was another duplicate. Now after reading reviews it seems this is extremely common and not just poor luck. Disappointed to say the least.

I would recommend this to a friend.
I have a problem with the minifigure selection. The minifigures were okay but I still liked them. There was one minifigures that I really wanted to get. It was Strahd von Zarovich. I was disappointed about who I got. I do not like the idea of having duplicates. I wish I got him right away.

Never again
It was my first and last minifig order from the website. I saw others before me that received all of the same figures and I dismissed it. Just opened my order and it's exactly what happens. I ordered 12 minifigs knowing full well that I would get doubles. Lo and behold, what I got was triples... I feel fleeced...

Epic set
This set is incredibly detailed and many figures even include an alternate head for more possible configurations. Unlike other series released in the past, all these figures come from the same world and can be staged together in a castle or fantasy setting without any looking out of place. Importantly, don't listen to the people giving negative reviews because they don't want to bother downloading a free scanning app and doing some hunting around in brick and mortar stores. The product is great and they are doing it a clear injustice by reviewing the way it's sold rather than the quality of what's in the box. This is especially ironic in this case because DnD is powered by dice rolls ... To complain about getting repeats from random singles box purchases reflects a clear misunderstanding of the basics of probability. Get an app and go to your local Lego store - the challenge of collecting them all is kind of the point. If you want to save time buy one six pack (which typically either includes no duplicates or very few) and then hunt around for the other six. This is what I did and got all twelve without spending any more money than necessary. This is by far the best work Lego has ever done in CMFs and will appeal to both DnD and Castle fans like myself and general Lego fans who want something unique. Hopefully Lego releases another set of these in the near future and also another DnD set (or even a whole theme?)

They all the same!
Like everyone else. I ordered 24 and only got repeats of the same 6. I wanted lots of dragonborn and ranger so at least I got 5 dragonborn and 2 rangers. But I have so many bards/druids/barbarians. They need to mix up the boxes.
