Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best protein-free non-heavy oil shampoo at the drugstore I’ve got fine, wavy, low porosity hair which doesn’t take kindly to proteins or heavy oils (coconut, Shea butter, etc). I went on a mission to find protein-free at the local drugstore This is the only shampoo I could find that didn’t contain both, but still had SOME light oils. (For conditioner, Live Clean Mineral Clay rebalancing condish) The smell isn’t the greatest but it’s grown on me. And my hair has more body and waves and no frizz. I barely need product. There are some great youtubers of color who discuss hair porosity in relation to products and seem to be the only ones who do. To them I say thank you!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good shampoo, cologne scent I like this shampoo. It is similar to the argan shampoo from this brand. It has a nice rich lather and makes my hair shiny. What I'm not crazy about is the strong scent. It's very much a cologne scent. I can't figure out how to describe it in more detail, but if you don't like strong scents or a "masculine" scent, try another from this brand.

I have curly-wavy hair that can be dry as straw at the ends and oily at the roots and this shampoo has benefitted my diverse mop so well! I lose less hair in the shower than ever before, I go longer between washes and the smell is great. 10/10 in my experience!

Now, after several uses I find it is more an earthy scent than perfume-y and quite pleasant. It doesn't linger once hair is dried. It lathers very well and leaves my hair feeling really clean. About to buy more.
