Description

A zinc sunscreen that leaves no trace - just soft, smooth, protected skin! A hint of mineral tint allows for a flawless application that blends into all skin tones. + An antioxidant boost to protect skin from damaging free radicals!

Features
  • Zinc oxide is a mineral and the active ingredient in many mineral sunscreens. It sits on top of your skin (rather than soaking in, like chemical sunscreens do) and scatters, absorbs, and reflects the suns rays to protect you.
  • Non-nano essentially means that the particles are too large to pass through the skin. The concern with super-small nanoparticles is that they can find their way into your body by penetrating your skin and getting into your bloodstream. And while a nanoparticle will enter your bloodstream, a non-nano particle won't.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best I have tried so far Out of three natural facial sunblock I have been testing this is so far my favorite. Pros: blends seemlessly into my skin, has a decent level of active zinc, almost no scent. Cons: very thin consistency (think watery liquid foundation), not sure if it provides enough protection.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from extremely extremely sheer, drying, and watery with weird smell; no white caste at least PROS: - no white caste - no comedogenic ingredients - very easy to reapply CONS: - extremely sheer - smell is gross - very drying on my combo skin - expensive - does not cover any of my hyperpigmentation or old acne Due to the watery consistency, it is difficult to tell if I have put on enough for 1tsp. It's not so bad that I won't use it but I certainly will not re-purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Natural SPF that blends perfectly Feels light on the skin and blends in perfectly (no white cast at all). I was blown away! Plus, I love that it contains Vitamin C. This will be a new staple for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On My Third Bottle -- It's That Good! I have fair, sensitive, allergic skin. Nothing in this sunscreen has irritated or dried out my skin. I appreciate that there is no added fragrance, either. Unlike some sunscreens, it is not shiny and does not leave a white cast. Yes, it is a liquid format that requires shaking before use. After cleansing, I apply a few drops of The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane to my skin, wait a few seconds, then squirt 5 pumps of Mad Hippie sunscreen into the palm of my hand. This is enough to cover my face, neck and ears. It absorbs quickly into the skin. There is no pilling. I much prefer this to greasy, cream sunscreens for the face. I have a fourth bottle on hand. I like both the tinted and untinted versions equally well, and will continue to buy this product on repeat. I wear sunscreen year-round and highly recommend Mad Hippie.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice light SPF I use this at the end of the work day before heading outside to reapply my SPF. It's not very moisturizing since it's a serum and I'm not a fan of the runny consistency, but I like how it goes on. It blends well with my light skin tone. I'm also not a fan of the smell, but it's not so offensive that I can't wear it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I tend to have a hard time finding facial sunscreens with a texture that I like. This one went on very light, covered evenly and layered well with my moisturizer. I don't even feel it on my skin! I also love that there is no scent and that the packaging has minimal plastic. I have very sensitive rosacea skin but so far, so good. Next test will be the summer weather but I plan to buy again.
