My 2 year old son loves puzzle in general and really loves this one too. I wish it came in the "sound puzzle" version so he could hear the numbers too.

My 21/2 year old grandchildren love it..not only does it teach them what the numbers look like but also count the objects under each number.

My daughter really enjoys this game and is starting to recognize shapes and colors and putting the pegs in the correct slots.

Great puzzle. Big pieces make it easy for toddlers to hold. I only wish it came as a sound puzzle like the alphabet one.

I bought a few of these Melissa and Doug puzzles for my 2yr old son, and this one is his favorite.
The pieces are easy to hold by the peg, they're not colour coordinated (the colour of the number is not the same as the reveal inside) so he has to think about it, and spin the numbers around to fit.
The only oversight is that the number 3 fits into the number 8 spot, but the number 8 does not fit in the number 3 spot. Which, apparently, can be quite perplexing and infuriating to a 2yr old boy!
That said, he's spent a lot of time gathering up the pieces and placing them all carefully into position before dumping the whole thing out on floor and starting over.
Great product, well made, and a great value.

This puzzle is great for kids who find the earlier peg puzzles (with 8 or fewer pieces) too easy. The picture under the numbers does not look identical to the piece so they have to think a bit harder and often spin the pieces around until they can make them fit. My son has used it almost every day for weeks since we bought it and he always tries to say the names of the numbers as he puts them in so it is also great practice for his slowly developing speech.

Nice big pieces. Easy to use pegs. Great for hand eye coordination.
