Yes it's messy, but once you learn how to work with the wax, one realizes it's a great product. Been using this product for years.

I didn't use this particular scent but I have used this product. In the beginning I was frustrated but I learned how the consistency needs to be and ways to spread it etc. I won't go back to strips again. It works well once you get the hang of it. Use a blunt/dull butter knife (not the seraded/curved end) and when the wax cools you can remove it easily. Wish they sold the wipes separately or put more in the package though. I only use it for my bikini and underarms.

2 stars because it did remove nearly all the hair in one go and it is pliable and easy to pull off (unlike Parissa hot wax which I find gets brittle fast) Unfortunately, I found more drawbacks than good. First; the smell. It's a gag-inducing synthetic plastic smell. Never smelled a Gardenia like that! Like the other reviewers, I found it made a HUGE mess with strings all over the place. I am very experienced with hard wax and could not eliminate this problem no matter how quickly I maneuvered the applicator. Third, for some reason it took forever to heat in my microwave. I've used it many times before to heat wax but for some reason, this took a good 5 minutes just to get to a thick molasses consistency. Anyway, I will not be buying this again and will go back to Parissa

This wax made a sticky, terrible mess. I followed the instructions and applied the wax to my skin. Like the other reviewers mentioned, it makes stringies that get all over the place. When it was time to pull the wax off my skin, it got completely stuck to my fingers! It removed about 50% of the hair in the areas that I applied it to, but it was very time consuming and I still had residue on my hands after using the included towelettes.

This is my favorite wax.

It's GREAT not having to use strips and REALLy pulls out all the hairs.

The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it's almost impossible to remove any left-over residu (doesn'T wash off with water... or baby oil). And it is a little messy (like the other reviewer has said - it makes little stringies)

So messy! I liked the idea of not having to use strips, but the wax was so messy. Even when softened to the right consistency, it formed stringies (like the way melted mozzerella cheese does) everytime you had to stir it or get a glob on the stick. Perhaps I am an amateur and I didn`t work quickly enough, but I had to re-heat the container several times because the wax cooled too fast and the stringiness got out of control

I gave this 2 stars because once I was able to apply the wax, it was indeed easy to peel off and it gripped the hairs very well.
