Contains Shea Butter
Most products that contain shea butter list the scientific name - butyrospermum parkii - followed by the colloquial name “shea” in parenthesis. However, on this product’s ingredient list only the scientific name is listed. As a result, I unfortunately over looked it’s presence. My skin is highly sensitive to shea butter as a comedogenic. I was able to use this product twice after sun exposure; while it resulted in mild itchiness at the time I assumed it was due to a mild burn. Upon the third use, my skin broke out and became very irritated. It was at this point I realized shea butter must’ve been an ingredient that I overlooked prior to my purchase. I realize most people don’t have such adverse reactions to shea butter, but it is considered a comedogenic. I do wish common names would have been listed alongside scientific names. It’s an expensive product that I am unable to use and has caused pain to myself.
